Guppy Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 What do you think? Probably bull, but might as well make a thread about it and can't see another thread on it.
Guppy Posted 23 July 2009 Author Posted 23 July 2009 Norwich didn't offer him a contract after a trial, and it looks like we will be competing with Lincoln, Darlington and Carlisle. Exciting times. Others in for him.
Ultra Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Was quality once upon a time, but injuries have ravaged his career. We'd be lucky to get 10 decent games from him.
glebe_sydneyfox Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 he had a stint with Sydney FC last season or season before was absolute SHITE
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 he had a stint with Sydney FC last season or season beforewas absolute SHITE Season before last and was shocking..........but it was good to know as a Victory fan Sydney were paying good money for some fat lazy forward. If he can't cut it for Sydney he can't cut it for LCFC especially cosidering he probably got older and shiter.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 On the one hand, totally agree with all the above. On the other hand, no Nigel signing has been a flop, and maybe, just maybe, Micheal has rid himself of any major injuries, lets not forget, he was a very good goal scorer, and IF he's medically good, could be the bargin of a lifetime.

According to Wiki has averaged six league starts per season since 2000. :city:
Tevez Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 YES! Don't need to shell out for a striker in transfer fees and wages (lita) could me a cracking move if he works on his fitness and eventually comes and gets a few cheeky goals off the bench. Michael if your reading this, I'm still a fan.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 According to Wiki has averaged six league starts per season since 2000. :city: Blimey, well that puts it into context, although be warned, wikipedia isn't always factual, run by American's who think football is sarker.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 This to me would be a pointless signing. He hasnt done anything since those series of injuries he suffered at Leeds. We've already got Dickov who could be our hit or miss centre forward to come on and get the odd goal. What we need is a striker who is seriously going to compete with Howard/Fryatt.
ozleicester Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Hmm If the price is right, i wouldnt mind this for 2 reasons 1) NP, If Nige sees value then i cant really argue 2) He could be our Michael Owen?
glebe_sydneyfox Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Season before last and was shocking..........but it was good to know as a Victory fan Sydney were paying good money for some fat lazy forward. Victory fan! at least we share the same love of the Foxes... interesting to see how the expanded league will go this season.
Daveaway Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 WTF Bridges NO. I hope that MM & NP were not on the Vino while they watch video clips of him. I am sure that we can get someone better than Bridges. But if he does come and scores goals then hand up to NP on getting the best out of a player that has fallen by the way side.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Victory fan!at least we share the same love of the Foxes... interesting to see how the expanded league will go this season. Should be good i think. Can't see us (Victory or Foxes) being champions again
teblin Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Not impressed with this one. But maybe he can be Nigel Pearsons tony cottee.
Leicesterboi Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Season before last and was shocking..........but it was good to know as a Victory fan Sydney were paying good money for some fat lazy forward. If he can't cut it for Sydney he can't cut it for LCFC especially cosidering he probably got older and shiter. I'd take a punt and say that he would definatly have got older. So on that basis, No thanks.
Toby or not Toby Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 This was on football rumours the other day, lazy journalism maybe?
Fox92 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Look, he is a very talented footballer, a great finisher and a very visual striker and one of the better footballer that I have seen play but now, in the year 2009 when we are looking to do very well in this division no thanks. He is most probably within his 30's now and if we are looking to have a go at this division then I think we should be looking to sign newer, fresher and better players than what Bridges is now - no disrespect.
Manderic's pants Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 We already have one knackered old guff bag as cover up front. Let's get some young blood in please.
Tilley Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 We already have one knackered old guff bag as cover up front. Let's get some young blood in please. THIS Lets get rid of the sack of shite we already have before we start bringing in any more has-beens. Fuck off Dickov. LEROY LITA
