milan_foxes Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Ok if we sell him, get armand traore on loan from arsenal. He'll replace mattock, and hes better and hes arsenals third choice left back behind keiran gibbs and clichy + traore is only 19 and spent last season on loan to portsmouth where ofc he did very well. And then spend the cash on a striker. Done I read last night that traore had be solded on loan to somebody, cant remember who though
soley118 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 I read last night that traore had be solded on loan to somebody, cant remember who though im happy hes leaving chris powell at whos about 20 years older is 3 times the player mattock is and probrobly ever will be
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Unless something comes to light which shows a genuine reason as to why he has been unhappy, Mattock can fu*k off and do one. Been rumours for a long while now about his relationship with NP.
soley118 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 bbc news now apparently pearsons pissed off can see why he is pissed off though two days before the season and his first choice left back want to leave wouldnt be to bad if he handed his request in a month or so earlier.
Matt Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Atleast he's been honest and handed in a transfer request and obviously want to leave, I don't want players here who don't want to be here, so he can go, and tbh like I have said before if we get 2 or 3 Million for him i'll be happy that we've had their pants down - At this current time anyway (Obviously he is very young and has bags of time to improve, but I really don't think he is that good, very overrated)
Bryn Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Having been to the gym and thought about this for a bit, this is atrocious behaviour from Mattock. To decide this two days before the season starts and to conduct himself as he has is really appalling, especially from a supposed fan. Bridges burnt Joe, clear off and don't come back, at least not until you have to when you're farmed out on loan and then ultimately sold.
Sir Alex Ferguson Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 I think a lot of you are being quite harsh on Joe Mattock as a footballer, at the end of the day he is only 19, a solid championship left-back who can tackle and pass, what more do you want....sour grapes. poor show. he is one of our best players it is a shame he wants to leave the club.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Can't wait till we play the Baggies now. Joe mattock worra a willy puller, worra a willy puller !
andyh1884 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Bye then. At least him & his Mr 10% won't be getting any of the transfer fee seeing as he's handed in a transfer request.

So handing in a transfer request two days before the start of the new season isn't more than a bit shi tty? And to say he's one of our best players is stretching things

This won't be a suprise to them. He is a good/useful player for Leicester City, because when he does leave that gap will be hard to fill.
Babylon Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 he is one of our best players it is a shame he wants to leave the club. Remind me where he finished in the end of season player ratings again?
smudge_lcfc69 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 to be honest im not arsed he's going, there is so much hype about the lad we should get some decent klobber for him and be able 2 get a decent striker with the money to solve the problems up front. he didn't stand out last season if im honest, if he was 29 instead of 19 he would pipe the fook down and get on with pre season training but people putting 'big things' in his head has given him an premiership erection which sadly isn't going to happen. have fun warming up the bench at WBA mattock you sell out.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 If he wants to leave surely the club has known about it for a while. This won't be a suprise to them. I'd say it's probably less of a surprise than the club will make out, but still the timing is awful, especially if it's true that he expressed a desire to leave "immediately". If he'd told Pearson face to face before leaving for Ukraine then he'd get far less abuse.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 If we're honest, Joe Mattock is fucking shit anyway. Potential means absolutely nothing if you don't begin to realise it. He hasn't really, from what I've seen, improved on a noticeable scale in any department since he's been in the first team. Absolutely raped more often than not at League One level, gets caught out of position wayyyyy too often and lacks the required pace. Never been a fan, think he's an absolutely arrogant cunt and definitely wouldn't miss him if he left. Good riddance to bad rubbish, in my opinion.
Matt Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Meh, he got raped every week in League One, especially by Hereford .Get a decent amount of money for him, get McGivern on loan, and use the money for a new striker. He certainly got raped v Hereford, When I think of Mattock playing poor that is the first game that comes to my head, and he gave a needless stupid Penalty away.

Unit Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 As a 19 year old city fan myself i can't help but think what a dick he's being, if city is really his club he'd never consider chipping off especially 2 days before the start of the season. A real fan would never leave, good riddance.

Wow, that's a swift down-grade from 'one of our best players' to 'good/useful'
