Mattock hands in transfer request

Ok if we sell him, get armand traore on loan from arsenal. He'll replace mattock, and hes better and hes arsenals third choice left back behind keiran gibbs and clichy + traore is only 19 and spent last season on loan to portsmouth where ofc he did very well. And then spend the cash on a striker. Done

Pearson and Mandaric will try to get as much money out of him as possible im hoping, hes good going forward but not reliable at the back. But we have Berner who has chipped in with more goals then Mattock looks defensively more settled and still gets forward.

Shame to see him go, but as others have said, his attitude towards football last season was erratic to say the least. Promising young left-back who'll probably blossom elsewhere or be found out pretty soon. Make it or break it.

Would've rather seen him develop at Leicester, but what can you say about players' allegiances these days...

Didn't he say he was Leicester through and through?

Cock!

Get rid of him, never really bothered about him

How many players have come out and said they are a club through and through? Loads have, I rate Mattock as a footballer and I think if he goes then we have lost a massive future prospect, who I think will go far in his career at club and international level.

He isn't a cock all he is doing is trying to further his career, fairplay.

Still a huge loss to us, being this close to the opening day of the season.

I would think in general a player would request a trasfer when he becomes aware that it is an option. Was he supposed to wait until he got back? I think Nigel should probably keep his mouth shut to be honest.

There are better ways of handling things than that, if the reports from NP are true.

If a club comes in, there is always the option of waiting to see your clubs response before intervening.

If your club wants to sell, you move, no harm no foul, and you can say the club didn't want you.

If your club wants you to stay, theywill turn down the bid, but will inform you that they have done so and then they have contacted you about it.

Sounds like he's heard directly from his agent that West Brom are in, and immediately rang NP to say I'm off!!

I'd be pissed off too if I was NP.

He rejected a move to brum end of last week!

No chance!

lol

How do you all feel now those that said he'd not leave his boyhood club for another Championship side? Mandaric will squeeze everything he can out of West Brom, and rightly so.

If he wants to go, let him. As long as we get some decent money I couldn't care less. I better be quiet now as the Mattock community support team (Jimmy) might be on their way...

Shame, he hasn't been great for us but it does leave us a tiny bit lacking. I know Powell is a hero to many, but if Berner suffers a long-term injury then I don't fancy Powell covering for a long period. Plus Berner is useful to cover centre mid. A loan signing will do us nicely here.

His timing and method of announcing his transfer request is first class, but then again, he's not the sharpest knife on the rack is he.

No real loss looking at the last few seasons performances.

Let's hope the 'Mattock hype' is still out there and we get silly money for him.

I can't help but feel a premier club will take the gamble on him, we all know he's not good enough for that. But the Mattock the papers know and the one we all know is completely different. Some mug (mac city) will buy him on reputation alone.

Traore's off Sunderland if anywhere.

He's a complete and utter cock for the way he's done it and he's hardly going to a Premiership team either.

As for huge loss, he wasn't going to play anyway.

I posted a week or two back saying he wasn't happy here and I would be very surprised to see him in a city shirt again.

From what I have been told about him which I can't really go into on here it will be no great loss.

He has not been happy here for some time.

The lad never impressed me to be fair, he was always rated for some reason for non Leicester fans.

Leicester fans never held him in high regards and won't be sad to see him leave.

Get more then a million and we're laughing.

Don't think its been mentioned but I would love to see Armond Traore on loan from Arsenal as the ideal replacement please.
