lou Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Have pretty much decided to get one..... do these apps cost and how much? Or does the cost vary? Excuse my ignorance I dont have a clue
CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Have pretty much decided to get one..... do these apps cost and how much? Or does the cost vary? Excuse my ignorance I dont have a clue Some apps are free. Some apps cost...the cost depending on the content of the app. For example, I think the average Football sim game costs £3.50 but a golf scorecard thing which works out the course's par and distances via google maps costs £17.99.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 i seen an app for £59.99 the other day can't remember what it was though....

CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Thanks I wont be buying any expensive ones but nice to know some are free and some very cheap Often there's free 'lite' versions of the bigger games or apps. As the likes of SKY and other news corporations have cottoned on, plenty of good free apps have appeared and fingers crossed, some of the more handy ones will reduce in price because of it.

Daggers Posted 11 August 2009 Author Posted 11 August 2009 People jail break there iphone And some people end up with bricks and still have to pay their monthly contracts.
fox123 Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I'm seriously considering an iphone. I'm slightly pissed off with T-Mobile telling me that I would have to pay £249 for a Nokia N97, when my monthly bill is £45 (apparently you need to be on the £75 plan to get one free, where as Orange and Vodafone it's £40). Anyone able to give me some comparison of the two phones?

Sly Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 The only bad thing I have to say about my iPhone is the battery life. It must be docked ever 24 hours to breath some life back into it!
CosbehFox Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 The only bad thing I have to say about my iPhone is the battery life. It must be docked ever 24 hours to breath some life back into it! Yes, agreed. Esp. on 3g. Apparently as time goes by, the updates will eventually make Apps less energy saping. I don't find it that much of a problem but tis' annoying. I just stick it in the charge at end of the day. As anyone got insurance on there's? My Dad keeps banging on about it!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 anyone know an app where i can listen to bbc radio leicester for the football?
The Birch Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 The only bad thing I have to say about my iPhone is the battery life. It must be docked ever 24 hours to breath some life back into it! Yea I wasn't impressed with the battery life. I usually turn 3G and wifi off and it seems to last alot longer.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 I really don't understand people who form a strong opinion either way, if the iphone does what you want and is in your price bracket then have a look, if it doesn't/isn't don't bother. It's not the iPhone per se, it's just the fact that whenever anyone buys it seems to flick a switch in their brain that makes them think everyone else cares about every little feature/inane application that they've bought with it. The worst thing is I know that if I bought one I'd probably end up getting excited about anything to do with it, shove it in people's faces and then within hours I wouldn't be able to live without having a Spirit Level Application with me at all times
Daggers Posted 14 August 2009 Author Posted 14 August 2009 O M G! Did someone mention the spirit level application? I LOVE THE SPIRIT LEVEL APPLICATION! Have you seen it? Here, let me show you...

I'll admit that.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 I got a bit carried away when I discovered a barcode reader on my N95. I'll admit that. I liked that one because it's actually built into the phone. Why did Nokia ever feel the need to design a phone with a barcode reader?! At least with the pointless applications you can attribute it to some bored lonely nerrrrrrrrrrrrrd who;s bored in between lost episodes of Star Trek or something.
