Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Just been knocked out of the League Cup by Sileby Aths or someone. Why are they so shit in cup competitions? Manchester United semi-final aside, they seem to get knocked out of cups by pub teams every year.
Fosse Boy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Laugh it up people! Laugh at the sheep!

dandannieldanok Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 We lost rather more meekly at Rotherham last season than Derby have just done.
Corky Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 They've been knocked out by Lincoln, Huddersfield, Oldham, Grimsby, Rotherham all in the last few years.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 August 2009 Author Posted 11 August 2009 We lost rather more meekly at Rotherham last season than Derby have just done. I knew someone would point this out. To be fair, we'd already seen off a few sides, it was only the paint pot cup and we were merrily strolling to the league title in the meantime. I don't think we should be coming off worse in an evaluation of the two games. They've been knocked out by Lincoln, Huddersfield, Oldham, Grimsby, Rotherham all in the last few years. That's the sort of thing I was after. Bristol Rovers as well a few years back?
Corky Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 We lost rather more meekly at Rotherham last season than Derby have just done. Apart from that though, since Wycombe we've done well against lower-league sides. That's the sort of thing I was after.Bristol Rovers as well a few years back? Yeah, didn't Ellington get a hat-trick?
Guest Bilo Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I'm officially not laughing until we've played Macclesfield.
Fosse Boy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I'm officially not laughing until we've played Macclesfield. Probably a wise idea actually.

CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 That small club Leeds pushed them all the way last season too.
Bert Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 We lost rather more meekly at Rotherham last season than Derby have just done. SO? That was last season, man.
MC Prussian Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Probably a wise idea actually. DENNIS! ... @ Derby.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Also notable. Franchise 1-4 Swindon. What the feck?! EDIT: Also Ipswich have gone to pens. This game and the defeat to Cov could have knocked their confidence for this Saturday.
Poakey Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 How the fook did they get 33,000 on sat?Good gates last season,i thought they would drop this season but that aint a bad start is it!
CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 EDIT: Also Ipswich have gone to pens. This game and the defeat to Cov could have knocked their confidence for this Saturday. The team playing tonight is almost a completely different eleven to Sunday's game. How the fook did they get 33,000 on sat?Good gates last season,i thought they would drop this season but that aint a bad start is it! Good season ticket prices and offering local business employees tickets at £19.
Tevez Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 "Cracking Result for the Aths, we grafted and grafted" Manager Shaun Wilkes.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Switch through on pens but far from convincing. Still, probably can't read much into it in light of Cardiff Fox's post.
Finnegan Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Laugh it up people! Laugh at the sheep!   I hate that every time a thread about Derby comes up someone thinks they can get away with breaking the forum terms of service: BIG RULES: Things deemed to be totally unacceptable: * Pornographic material * Spam/Commercial advertising * Overt personal abuse of other posters (unless it's in jest of course!) * Registering and using duplicate accounts whilst banned. * libelous statements e.g unsubstantiated references to drug taking etc.
Uncle Monty Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 A blessing for most champ clubs i think as they (we also) have so many fixtures.
Samilktray Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Ive been told I resemble Kris Commons. Odd to say the least.
Wilkesy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Ive been told I resemble Kris Commons.Odd to say the least. Rasping left foot then?
Samilktray Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Rasping left foot then? I wouldnt mind it being on footballing ability to be honest, but it isnt.
Wilkesy Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I wouldnt mind it being on footballing ability to be honest, but it isnt. Fair enough. Some people have compared me to Michael Dawson, and again that isn't on footballing ability!
