StanSP Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Its Linkin Park ... I haven't got the time to begin on why its so bad to like them. Like saying you enjoy Greendays last album. I didn't enjoy that anyway. If you ain't got the time don't bring it up. I like them. End of. And they write their own songs so they're real artists
Hugo Sanchez Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Is hugo talking out of his ringo jizz stained ass again. The dick who gets his opinions on music off radio 1
Edmund Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Oh my God, you are such a bell end! Why does being on the X Factor immediately mean they don't have talent!?! It's the stupidest logic I've EVER heard as NOBODY can even begin to argue that Leona, Alexandra, Will Young and a couple of other singers who have come through contests aren't talented!!! At the end of the day they may have a shred of talent but there are much more talented artists out there who don't seek the fame because music isn't about fame. I bet I could walk in to any gospel chior and I would bet my mortgage that the majority have more talent than any of the dross that is shown on x factor. I have no dislike towards X factor as it is serves it's purpose. It is an entertainment tv show and that is all. To say that they bring the pinnacle of talent through is laughable though.
Tilley Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Was so happy when Lib told me Jedward had gone, maybe too happy.
Fox92 Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Oh my God, you are such a bell end! Why does being on the X Factor immediately mean they don't have talent!?! It's the stupidest logic I've EVER heard as NOBODY can even begin to argue that Leona, Alexandra, Will Young and a couple of other singers who have come through contests aren't talented!!!You clearly know fook all about the music industry and what being talented means... in fact it's barely worth arguing with you and I don't know why I am... Seriously, you are addicted to a stupid, entertainment value, comic type show that now has got you that addicted you are actually saying 'talent' - because the show is, is a 'talent' contest. Lets search for talent, its a talent contest, as appose to someone who is born with it like George Best, Tiger Woods, John Lennon and Muahhamed Ali. Lewis, Burke, whoever will be known for winning a talent contest (or taking part in one), and will never get as Internationally successful as my favourite artists. Nobody will be playing their music in years to come, where as, my iPod is filled with The Beatles, The Kinks, David Bowie, Queen, The Who, The Small Faces and Herman Hermits songs... about 30 years (or whatever, differs for Bowie and Queen) after the song was actually released. Get a grip.

Fox92 Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Who the fook is that??And I didn't know you could tell into the future! There another great band. And, what the hell are you on about?
StanSP Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 There another great band. And, what the hell are you on about? Great?? I've never heard one of their songs on the radio - the other bands yes. And I'm not just on about Radio 1 etc...I've never heard them on any radio station. And you said: Lewis, Burke, whoever will be known for winning a talent contest (or taking part in one), and will never get as Internationally successful as my favourite artists. Nobody will be playing their music in years to come, Are you psychic?
Fox92 Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Herman Hermits were formed in Manchester, 1963. Listen to 'No Milk Today' it is immense. Great?? I've never heard one of their songs on the radio - the other bands yes. And I'm not just on about Radio 1 etc...I've never heard them on any radio station. And you said: Are you psychic? No but its true.
Samilktray Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Is that clown still going? I thought it had been established Leona Lewis was better than the beattles.
StanSP Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Herman Hermits were formed in Manchester, 1963. Listen to 'No Milk Today' it is immense. No but its true. Come back in 30 years time and we'll see. Not feeling either song.
BoneDog Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 I've seen Hermans Hermits live. Great party At Butlins 3 years ago. What a Wonderful World it would be........ Bangin tune! I got a signed cd for me Father in Law. He loved it

I'm sorry I've got nothing to offer towards your petty argument with fox1771477 but this statement stood out and sums up the sad state of the music industry and it's followers. Radioplay means fook all in relevance to how good a band is. Jut because said act has spent more money on a marketing campaign does not mean there music is any better than the nextmans.

Can work both ways though really.

See where you're coming from, but I listen to a lot of bands who aren't played on any radio stations, so as Samilktray said, it works both ways.

See where you're coming from, but I listen to a lot of bands who aren't played on any radio stations, so as Samilktray said, it works both ways. I'm lost. What do you mean it works both ways? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with radioplay or that you only listen to bands on the radio, but what I'm pointing out is you can't judge a band/act/artist by wether it's been on the radio in terms of how good it is.

Yeah I wasn't really getting at that to be honest . What I meant was I'd heard about all the others obviously, and just never heard of HH, on the radio or not. I just used radio as an example. Could have said magazine or internet site or whatever .

Could have said magazine or internet site or whatever . I reckon you've heard a song by them but never knew who it was. Surely you heard one of these beauties before?! Im into something good Theres a kind of hush I sing this everytime I am in the vacinity of a karaoke

Ok fair enough. To be honest I've never heard of them either
StanSP Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Ok fair enough. To be honest I've never heard of them either After all that
BoneDog Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 I'd never heard of them either til I went to Butlins and they were doing a gig! I did recognise the songs though. They were the shining light in a few days of total shite entertainment from redcoats (who are at about the same level as 99% of X-Factor contestants)
StanSP Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 El Empty, sorry but they ring no bells in my music memory bank .
