Vlad The Impaler Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 does anyone not agree with me that all these strikers that have been named are not really what we need.we need a back up to Steve Howard. A big hit man. Someone that can hold a ball up etc we dont have that in the squad right now and when Howard doesnt play - we struggle A Nugent, Gallagher etc are great players and would benefit the squad but if I was NP I would be looking in the market for a big fella Well Kermogant sounds like he's on his way mate And we could end up having 5 good championship strikers at our disposal here Fryatt Howard Gallagher Waggy Kermo (Hopefully) Maybe even DJ
Vlad The Impaler Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Thanks for info Green Army aswell, much appreciated If true
AjcW Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Gally (as he's known) is a cracking little player, can't understand anyone in this league being unhappy with his signing! He played 25mins for Blackburn against Man City the other night (and took out Tevez) so that should tell you something. I was told by his father-in-law and i know he is his relation as i got my Argyle-Arsenal ticket off Gallagher and went with the said in-law. It is going to be Gally announced tomorrow, suprised it wasn't announced today. Permanent signing. Check out PASOTI, go to rumours, thread called "Gally coming back" top of page 2 is a bloke called BRFC19, he is for real. It certainly is true. Im confused is he coming to us or going to plymouth .
SMX11 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 NP interview at press conference today admitted that Kermit might be signed to play at the weekend.
enex Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Paul Gallagher Wiki "On August 20th 2009 Paul Gallagher had a medical at Leicester City and his signing is expected to be announced by the club tomorrow."
The Reverend Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I think Gallagher's a good player. Always been on the fringes at Blackburn, they've never got rid of him and never gave him a proper chance/long run of games. I think that says something. I mean hes not young at 25......hes been on the books of a decent Premiership side for a long time, hes no mug, and I think Leicester City will be the kick up the arse he needs to make an impact in football, especially at this level.

Lillehamring Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 34 goals in 157 games and 13 assists... if he ain't a target man, he doesn't seem very prolific as a poacher....
AjcW Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Is he what we need though? "Miss Kerri Baby" Shes what I need. I think he'll do well. 13 goals last season in a poor team(sorry green)... Maybe an improvement on that with better service, who knows. I think its a great signing. Hope we dont shove him on the right though, hume mkII

DanTheFox07 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Like this guy and glad were linked to signing him, Think will add something extra to the team uprfont in my opinion! I think we will also sign kermorgant so will have a lot more depth in our squad attacking wise.

Whenever he played upfront, he scored. You're bang on with the service comment, a quality player surrounded by league oners (see what i did there) No need to be sorry mate, we were woeful last season and haven't started well

I just think he is one of those players who if he is stuck upfront, gets a run of games, and gets good service, could bag 20.
