The striker-cum-midfielder, Paul Gallagher, is set to join Leicester City tomorrow, to end a rather strange Blackburn Rovers career. Gallagher came flying through the ranks at Ewood Park and, when Johan Boskamp snapped him up on a season long loan in 2005, it was seen as something of a coup. Gally became an integral member of the side in an average season and ended as top scorer, with twelve goals. He then had a loan spell at Preston, before re-joining Stoke, helping them to promotion in 2008. However, limited appearances meant he returned to Blackburn and went out on loan again last season, this time to Plymouth. He banged in 13 goals last year and Sam Allardyce seemed suitably impressed, using him during a tough pre-season. However, it now appears that last weeks' appearance off the bench against Manchester City will be the last time he wears the Blackburn shirt. Good luck to Gally, and I'm sure we will all follow his success at the Walkers Stadium with interest.

gally11 Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 No idea, he's had a pretty good pre-season though so I wouldn't be suprised to see him at least on the bench. No idea when it'll be announced but he is 100% a Leicester City player the contract has been signed! Edited to add: Don't ask me anything else, I don't know anything for sure, just that he's signed!

On gallagher, im very pleased with this signing. On the condition that he is played were he should be played and is given a reasonable amount of starts.

Rumour now circulating it will be announced next week? Yet, some seem to think he has deffo signed last night?

Signing doesn't always ensure availability sometimes registrations can get messed up, or there might be financial or technical reasons why it might be signed but not come into practice until a later date - just a thought.
