Fox You Forest Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Nigel Pearson Someone ;) should add up Holloway, Allen and Megson's records for a comparison. Must be round about 50ish between them. Well done Nige.
dave the caveman Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Stunning record. When was the last time we lost a manager that we actually wanted to keep? MON?
Asha Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Stunning record. When was the last time we lost a manager that we actually wanted to keep? MON? Iirc, at the time most people wanted Allen to stay.
Edmund Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Does this include cup games as well? Only lost 4 albeit the majority of games being played in league 1 is a smashing record.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 An excellent record from an excellent manager. I fully expect NP to be an established Premier League manager within the next five years, let's hope it's with us.
maddog Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Amazing if he keeps this up we will be in the Premiership under him. Also if we don't lose at home to Blackpool we will be unbeaten for a year at the Walkers. Remember when the Birch used to say lets turn the Walkers into a fortress and we never ever did. Well we finally fooking have.
maddog Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Awesome! Emilio Lestavez. Take me off ignore. I know i am a silly twat. But certainly not a bore.
Mort Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Stunning record. When was the last time we lost a manager that we actually wanted to keep? MON? Can't find Burrows stats, but when you combine Allen, Megson and Holloway you get... P45 W14 D13 L18 ...individual stats... Allen: P4 W2 D1 L1 Megson: P9 W3 D4 L2 Holloway: P32 W9 D8 L15
lildave3 Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 No it doesn't. 46 league games last year, 4 so far this...
Edmund Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 No it doesn't. 46 league games last year, 4 so far this... I knew that

Fox You Forest Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 mmm slightly different they weren't playing in the 3rd division. Same shit, different thread.

Corky Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 He's certainly done very well, and done it in a calm, quiet way. Keep it up Nige, you're doing fine

Simi Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Pearson has done a solid job so far. One thing that I really give credit Pearson for is his half time team talks. I didn't go to the game on Saturday, but from reading accounts of those who went to the game, it seems like we were lacklustre in the first half, but came out in the second with a much better attitude, obviously we managed to get an early goal as well. We did it a few times last season as well. Notably Cheltenham away from home, where in the first half we were pretty average. After the break though we came out and smashed four in. For many, he seems a bit of a dull character. But I don't think motivation skills are something Pearson is lacking.
