Wycombe Fox Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I was 44 last month (not that many people noticed <_< ).Mentally I don't feel any different to when I was mid twenties, physically I'm starting to feel my age. I'm 46 and agree with you on mentally feeling like a twentysomething. Physically it gets harder...oooeerrr missus! I subscribe to the 'grow old disgracefully' philosophy and luckily, so does my wife. It's the little niggling aches and pains that cheese me off especially after exercise.

I've got four children and they're not a dependant now (oldest 20, youngest 12) as they were when I was in my thirties. That means me and Mrs. IOW Fox can do our own thing a bit more now which makes you feel a bit younger! The down-side is that you realise your kids don't need you as much as they did. Well they do, but in different ways.
