Nope there isn't one sadly :(

I think Bristol might get one soon though as it's a big city.

It's a gadget shop. We play with toys and sell things :)

Well they might do :) There's loads of new shops still moving into Cabot Circus.

Do people buy stuff from Red5? >_> That shop is bloody expensive.

Yeah people buy things everyday! Some of the things are expensive but a lot of things are good value compared to other shops.

One of my mates wanted that full size Predator model that was on sale in there about a year ago. £10,000, I believe was the asking price. I would buy two at that price.

Everyday, someone asks "wheres that predator thing?" lol.

I believe it ended up being sold for £3,000 though.

You know you wanted one :P

Sent off some letters and CVs on Wednesday and got a call from Primark today about a part time job so hopefully I'll get an interview! :fc:

The lady said something about me being top of the list or something :)

Rather excited but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Oh and thanks again to Lisa for telling me how to write a covering letter, I think Primark must of rather liked it!

I do. I want to put it in my front garden to scare off the local children!

On what, becoming maddog or the job thing? :P

Why not McDonalds?

I just graduated from Oxford with a 2.1 in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and I am stacking shelves in the Co-Op whilst I apply for other stuff. It may be shit, it might not pay well, but it sure as hell beats sitting at home all day and being too skint to do anything on the evenings/at the weekends.

apparantly you aren't allowed to work there until age 16 years and 9 months because of food safety regulations. wasted ny time walking to the mcdonalds i applyed to and then being told once i showed the interviewer my birth certificate that i wasn't old enough. i had to enter my date of birth on the apllication form so could they have not looked at it and said "hold on he's too young" rather than inviting me to an interview to tell me.

I've got an interview for a job at Orange on Wednesday. I'm really worried!

Has anyone got any tips for me?

Is there anything important I should do?

Obviously I'm going to wear smart clothes but would anyone recommend anything? E.g. smart skirt instead of trousers.

I haven't got a clue cuz I've never had an interview before! I haven't even had my mock interview at school yet :sweating:

Smart is what matters, skirt or trousers should not be an issue.

Be (mostly) honest, you will get caught out if you lie.

Enthusiasm, look, act and talk like you want the job.

Tell them how and why employing you will benefit them, you are selling the best thing you will ever sell, you!

Listen to the questions and answer what is asked.

Be happy, be cheerful, be positive.

and, if you dont get this, dont worry, there will be more and you will have learnt.

Good Luck.

My tip is just try not to worry about it too much. It's never as bad as you imagine, when it's over you always think 'what was I so worried about'! Just try to relax and be yourself and you should be alright. It's only natural to be a bit nervous though, it's not a bad thing, it happens to everyone.

You look in good nick on your avatar so don't worry about your appearance, I'm sure you'll be smart enough.

Try and memorise a few sentences about being enthusiastic and eager to work. Be friendly and polite.

And don't eat beans or eggs before cos you don't want to trump cos if there's only one interviewer you can't blame it on anyone else. :D

All the above is spot on... Ive interviewed people before.... at your age they wont be expecting experience so its all about the impression they get of you as a person. Its fact that people form the biggest impression of you within the first couple of minutes of meeting you so your appearance is key. Then enthusiasm is the next important, just act like this is the one job youve wanted to do most in your whole life lol

Good luck! Youll be fine and they know youll be nervous too!
