Joe. Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Come on, many of us still have those niggly guilty pleasures that just won't go away. Went through my old CD collection yesterday and came across some shockers. Added a few to the list that I didn't have lying around somewhere as well. These were my particular favourites from the 13-15 era: Fall Out Boy Blink 182 (I remember listening in horror to Happy Holidays) Green Day Funeral For a Friend Something Corporate Boxcar Racer The Darkness Simple Plan The Ataris Linkin Park Panic At The Disco Oh, and Eminem and 50 Cent. They were the first rappers I liked, as with most kids my age at the time I would imagine. EDIT: Yes! Just found Afroman - Because I Got High single. Jackpot.
Fosse Boy Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Kaiser Chiefs and The Darkness rated pretty highly when I was a li'l bit younger.
purpleronnie Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 I never liked any of them. I did own a simple minds/bon jovi/tears for fears albums as a youngster.
StanSP Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Kaiser Chiefs Franz Ferdinand Fall Out Boy (From Under the Cork Tree was their best album IMO). Downhill thereafter. 50 Cent Massari T-Pain Those last two I only liked a few songs of theirs. Barely touch their CD's now.
Libertine Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 I have an N'Sync single, Spice Girls albums, Britney et al.
Samilktray Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Eminem and 50 Cent still put out good music.
Joe. Posted 8 September 2009 Author Posted 8 September 2009 Eminem and 50 Cent still put out good music. Yeah I didn't really mean them in the 'not cool' way. They were just part of my music taste at the age of 14.
StanSP Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 I have an N'Sync single, Spice Girls albums, Britney et al. Unfortunately so for me. Not ashamed to say I have Britney in the collection though.
lildave3 Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Yes I did receive an Avril Lavigne album one christmas.
Libertine Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Timberlake. I bought a My Chemical Romance album with my own money too. No idea why.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Found the first album I ever bought the other day: Vengaboys - The Party Album. Shameful really EDIT: Yes! Just found Afroman - Because I Got High single. Jackpot. Brilliant song!

Joe. Posted 8 September 2009 Author Posted 8 September 2009 I think we're inadvertently re-creating Nussul's itunes library here.
lildave3 Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Found the first album I ever bought the other day: Vengaboys - The Party Album. Shameful really I had that, quality album.
MC Prussian Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 I admit to treason myself. East 17, Take That (one album only, though ), No Doubt, 2Unlimited, DJ Bobo to name but a few (good choices in bad taste). Guilty.

Guilty. For those two bands, I only remember 1 song for each which went big - Stay and Don't Speak respectively.
Tommeh Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Sum41 Nickelback Busted Blue 5ive Linkin Park 4 years ago I remember I used toliterally bum Usher especially in the pop ya coller days, still do when it comes to the Kareoke. Still love the guy.
Lillehamring Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 i think it's apparent to most on here that i'm going to shout 'oasis' at this point, mainly cause i've never gone from such joy to such disillusionment so quick... loved the singles, bought the album, the rest is history... i used to love the Mock Turtles, but listened again last year and it was dreadful. don't listen to kylie much now, but i have all of her albums up until the last few.
Rocket-Ron Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Republica. And yes it is the worst album ever created. The High. Jesus Jones. Mega City Four. The Soup Dragons.
