Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Author Posted 9 September 2009 It's so wank though. It reminds me of being 11 and watching the Box music channel on Diamond cable. Having none of this Work Geordie.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Having none of this Work Geordie. It was meant in a good way. Like "ah, I remember that, it was so shit." PS - I like David Gray.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 But it's not shit! Come on. Bad boys for life? Puff Daddy? He sounds like he should make Wotsits or be some kind of homosexual icon.
Jay Posted 10 September 2009 Posted 10 September 2009 I can't believe this thread actually contains the words The Darkness and Cool in the same post!! surely they were as far away from being a cool band as it's possible to get!!

I don't think being 'cool' was part of their appeal. They weren't a joke band (it was a very technically proficient gag if it was), but I think it's safe to say they were having a laugh
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 September 2009 Posted 11 September 2009 David Gray has some good songs up his sleeve.
AjcW Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Fightstar. Arent they only like a year or two old anyway??
Libertine Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Arent they only like a year or two old anyway?? About 5. Shit regardless.
AjcW Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 Fightstar About to appear in this... major role for two members, minor roles for the other two. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1247392/
Guest Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 David Gray has some good songs up his sleeve. He should hurry up and extract them then!! In all seriousness, he's not my cup of tea but I would be able to tolerate his songs more if somebody else sung them, if you get my drift. He did an interview on the BBC Breakfast show yesterday, and he seemed like a thoroughly decent chap unfortunately his music doesn't do it for me.

Love a bit of Davie Gray I do.
Jay Posted 12 September 2009 Posted 12 September 2009 I am pretty happy to say every record I own still has it's place in my collection never been one to follow a fashion or trend in music as such always liked to scratch below the surface if you like good music is good music as far as I'm concerned I can confirm however I don't like David Gray
