Say there is 400400 x2.5 hrs a day each = 1000 hours x £6.30 is £6,300 a day. Multiply that by 200 school days is about £1.2m, still not a waste of money? Pisses me off On the other hand, dispense with the crossing patrols, and wait for the litigation to roll in. I am sure it would end up costing more than £1.2m to the tax payer, and on top of that, to those of us paying motor insurance when our premiums go up to deal with the rising costs/claims.
