I know it is not great for the fans and I have read a lot of things the fans have said.

From here? :D

Good luck to him, his pace could be a real asset to us.

If Campbell is now a cert. for the sub bench, where does this leave N'Guessan? I doubt Pearson will go without Howard, Waghorn on the bench. Surely he wouldn't have four strikers on the bench?

Sorry I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but someone on here (I believe) made a video about last season, and the song was Frank Sinatra - My Way.

Or did I just imagine this? lol

Thanks.

Craig wasn't it, I still have it, brings a tear to the eye. :D

well if he's back in the team then radio leicester need to get heroes in blue and white in their sound clippy thing along with the goal horn. that way when ever he touches the ball everyone can hear "dj campbells through, no he's not he's offside". :P

I'd be surprised if Campbell could read - agents help. :D

Fair play to him, he seems to have put the effort in behind the scenes and wants to play for the first team. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone says things they regret. Whether Campbell is doing it for himself or the club (or even both) isn't a problem if he performs, scores goals, and makes a difference. He knows his future in football depends on how he performs. And who knows, he could even play a significant part for us in the long-term.

What has he done so far to suggest he is worth a run, or that Allen was ever right tro sign him in the first place.

Its not that he/ was having a dip in form, he has never been very good, very lucky player, hand full of high profile decent performances in his career

Poor mans Trevor Benjiman

Busy player + I imagine defenders find him a pain in the ass, but can't deliver. Loads of plyers like that at park level.

Many comments on here about him making the right noises and welcoming him 'back' back to what? the quality of player he was before he spat his dummy

Just a goal crazy spell at Blackpool and a shed load in 3 games at reserve level this season.

What a ridiculous comparison.

This. He's proven he's capable, worth a little run surely. Anyway who was actually good for us when DJ was last here?

This is what always baffles me. The majority of that team that sent us down was not performing yet certain players got singled out as scapegoats.

The main people singled out were the strikers (Hume aside) - Fryatt, Howard and Campbell.

Fryatt and Howard showed their class, Campbell moaned like a twat.

I actually thought a hell of a lot more of DJ when we went down than now, although I recognise that his pace gives us something different.

His recent apology should be enough for us to forgive, but forget? He has to make us forget by playing his way back into the side and back into our affections

Campbell moaned but he had a reason. He wasn't really given a chance and thrown out the squad for whatever reason.

The whole moan was taken out of proportion anyway so I don't really see the big deal. I agree he has to now show he can do it on the pitch but at least give the lad a chance. Lets not shoot him down before he has got up.

DJ > Waghorn > Fryatt > Kermo > Gallagher > Howard

Utterly, utterly ridiculous.

You've seen Waghorn and Kermo play what, 3 times?

And DJ has played about 90 minutes for us in a year and a half?

Farcical

Clearly someone has taken up the milktray role of just posting things to get a rise out of people :D

That spell included penalties and it wasn't that outstanding.

It is the reserves, do you remember Mark Bright?

As far as I'm concerned DJ has been fooking useless since day one for us, he can only be judged on what he has achieved, which is nothing.

He has scoed very few games and was nearly always offside and then missed a sitter against co*.

If he can start coming on as a sub and scoring goals for us then great, but this idea that he has been a success in the past and will repeat that is ridiculous.

He has been very, very poor for us so far.

Whoopy, join the long line of players who have scored in the reserves and be binned, he's been surrounded by a majority of first team players

What a ridiculous comparison.

Why ridiculous?

Benjis Leic and previous club 1 in 4.4 (whilst partiually blind) Djs 1 in 6

Biggest waste of money ever, at least Benji and Aki had done something of note previously, even our glorious former leader sussed him out, maybe not as mad as he seemed

2.1 million

'Ian Holloway, then-manager of Plymouth Argyle described the fee as "absolute madness".'

Looked pathetic pre last season at Quorn totally out played at a level that may have suited him.

Can't understand the love-in, he's in the shop window the club are desperate to get rid

I think it's time to bring back my 'bring back dj' poll.

It's very amusing to read, especially as in the first page people talk about boycotting it and not voting even though it got 222 votes :giggle:

It was closed by lookwhaticando a while back, because it looked like Dj would be leaving then, now he's back, bring back the bring back dj poll!

I've just found ANOTHER Dj poll i started over a year ago called 'hang the dj' when i said i didn't want him and sell sell sell.

So much for always loving him lol

He must be the most discussed player ever on FT.

Well if we are now comparing players on goal ratios what was Fryatts in the same season we got relegated? Or Hayles?

And then you have nearly forgotten he was scoring nearer 1 in 2 at Blackpool

When I compare players I do with similar attributes. Benjamin and Campbell don't strike me as similar players. :dunno:

Wether he's in the shop window, only time will tell.
