Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 27 July 2005 Posted 27 July 2005 Shaun Goater's contract was cancelled recently not sure he is pacey but certainly can score goals
Kingy Posted 27 July 2005 Posted 27 July 2005 That GTFox does work for a press association apparently. He's often quoting rumours, not sure if any have ever come true though! If Nugent signs for us, i'll be a happy man. 144875 Ric it would absolutely shit hot if he signed for us !!!! I did think that PC only had a run out so he could be looked at by others. Lets face it though its gotta be kinda unlikely. I can't see Preston offloading thier top striker in return for an in-consistant left-back. fingers crossed though eh ?
dan_84 Posted 27 July 2005 Posted 27 July 2005 club call seems to think we are interested in iain Hume from tranmere. decent player I think. not proven though
Alexikokopops Posted 27 July 2005 Posted 27 July 2005 For those still hopeful Fuller might want to link up with Levein again: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/4720293.stm Looks like he's off to Southampton.
TrickyTrev Posted 28 July 2005 Posted 28 July 2005 club call seems to think we are interested in iain Hume from tranmere. decent player I think. not proven though 145082 He is a very good player.

Steven Posted 28 July 2005 Posted 28 July 2005 club call seems to think we are interested in iain Hume from tranmere. decent player I think. not proven though 145082 He is a very good player. 145590 From the Tranmere OS. Hume emigrated with his Scottish-born parents to Ontario shortly after his first birthday. But his love of football manifested itself at an early age and he played schoolboy and junior football in Canada.Such was his ability, Hume often played in age groups well above his own. Return trips to Scotland led to futile trials with Hearts and St. Mirren. A fast and energetic striker with masses of potential, Hume became got his first full Canadian cap in February 2003, making his debut in the 4-2 win over Libya, just rewards for a player who was finally fulfilling potential. Has CL had a look at him before.

shen Posted 29 July 2005 Posted 29 July 2005 Partridge off to Wednesday link Would've been a handy player for us..
davieG Posted 29 July 2005 Posted 29 July 2005 Latest from GtFox; The PA (Press Association) rumour machine has been working overtime this afternoon, the lastest being that we have accepted an offer of £1M for Connolly (Sunderland?) and that we will bring in Derek Riordan from Hibs plus another striker. I think the only certain thing is that CL is working overtime to bring the striker dept up to scratch before the season starts and Tim Davies is desperate for promotion and wants a high profile signing. Even a return of Dickov was mentioned by one reporter as he is likely to be out of favour at Blackburn, with Bellamy and Cole being first choice.
Hazza Posted 29 July 2005 Posted 29 July 2005 I'd be loathe to Connolly going but Riordan would certainly soften the blow. Not sure how i'd react to Dickov, even though Blackburn don't have Cole but they've got Kuqi and could just stick with 1(Bellamy) up front anyway, so it could be possible.

Maybe Connolly, maybe even someone else? The kitty must be virtually empty by now - so speculate to accumulate. We're a selling club, like everyone else.
Cat Burger Posted 30 July 2005 Posted 30 July 2005 Hmm Dicky coming back!? No chance, I bet he got some right shite from Leicester fans for leaving. I don't think I'd welcome him with open arms to be honest. Plus his wage demands have probably quadrupled since we first signed him - money grabbing git
step Posted 30 July 2005 Posted 30 July 2005 I wound not mind dickov back because he owes us and he would have to work his nuts of to pay us back and if hye got us promoted, I for one would forgive him

What a spiteful little strikeforce Bellamy and Dickov would be!
PRIOR09 Posted 30 July 2005 Posted 30 July 2005 1 million for connelly, that is balls. 146722 I would probably take it. And then get in Riordan from hibs and another striker, but i would prefer if an offer didnt come in!
Steven Posted 31 July 2005 Posted 31 July 2005 Dodgy Internet rumour. Leicester City have accepted a bid of £1 million from Sunderland for David Connolly. With the money Levein is looking to buy either Trundle, Riordan or Boyd.
Who ate all the pies? Posted 31 July 2005 Posted 31 July 2005 If we did get 1mil for connolly we could sign Riordan and Boyd! But please god not Trundle he's not as good a player as you all seem to think. The other two I would be happy with...still I can't imagine that anyone would pay a million for Connolly. Bet we sign a nobody!
casabian Posted 31 July 2005 Posted 31 July 2005 Why should we sell our best striker.Mark my work DC wil score the goals to get us promoted this season , dont sell him Craig.
davieG Posted 31 July 2005 Posted 31 July 2005 Latest from GTFox on FoxFanzine The Press Association rumour this sunday is that a Connelly deal is definately done with Sunderland, for circa £1M and City will sign Riordan and also Nugent, if Preston can get McVeigh from Norwich. Rather complicated but CL will not agree to Connolly leaving (he wants to leave)unless he can get replacements in. CL and Tim Davies are determined to complete the squad with good striking options and will spend up to £1.25M if the Connolly deal is done. As far as Hughes is concerned CL sees him as an important part of the team and he is simply recovering from an ankle ligament injury

Just a shame we couldn't have £1.25m earlier in the summer so Levein had more options.. Riordan and Nugent would be good though.
step Posted 31 July 2005 Posted 31 July 2005 Come on people, be realistic. would we pay 1 million for connelly, I wish it was true, but It cant be
