Steven Posted 6 July 2005 Posted 6 July 2005 apparently you`re interested in one of ou youth/reserve players at Man Cityhis name is Jamie Tandy.....his claim to fame is he was the player Joey Barton stubbed his cigar out on using his eye as the ashtyray at the las Xmas party....by all accounts he asked for it........you`re welcome to him, as apparently he`s a complete TOSSER. 133295[/snapback] If he has an attitude problem I don't think he'd last five minutes. Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton has apologised for his behaviour at the club's Christmas party. Barton has been fined six weeks' wages after his confrontation with reserve-team player Jamie Tandy at the party on Sunday. Barton was reported to have poked a lighted cigar into Tandy's eye in retaliation for the youngster attempting to set his shirt alight. The midfielder was found guilty of gross misconduct after a club investigation into the incident and will have to pay four weeks' wages immediately, with the rest of the fine suspended for a year. Nationwider Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 If we signed Jamie Tandy, we'd have to get Lee Dixon and David Currie to come out of retirement.

PRIOR09 Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Now that CL has revealed he is looking to sign a striker and Blackburn have confirmed the signing of Craig Bellamy, could this open the way for Jay Bothroyd? Surely JB will not play regularly for Rovers so he may be prepared to drop down a division, and i am sure Rovers will not demand much of a transfer fee. What does everyone else think about him?
LoneWolf Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 never heard of him... well i cant say i have heard of any of these players we have been linked with... but if he is good... bring him on craigy

LoneWolf Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 he hasnt played since, so i would thing they felt the same about him.
Hazza Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 He was only on loan at Blackburn anyway. I can't remember if Perugia went up but i imagine we could pick him up for a nominal fee, or on another loan. I've slightly changed my opinion of him, as he'd also be familiar with Rob Kelly and Levein wouldn't stand for his attitude problems. He'd be a good foil for Connolly and get a fair few goals himself in this league i assume aswell.

Maybe that's because he doesn't even play for Blackburn. He was only on loan so has gone back to Perugia.
LoneWolf Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 I dont like getting players on loan, like Markus Bent... he got a reputation at Leicester then he went Everton... i think if we brought him... we could of made a major profit in him.

We didn't have the money to begin with (or we didn't want to risk too much on him) so we had to loan him. He then performed very well for us and we did all we could to get him here, but we were unlucky. Personally I like loan deals, as more often than not, you get a player with decent potential in on (mostly) reduced wages, and you can (mostly) send him back if he fails to perform or gets injured. Often a win-win situation for the loaning team.

Loaning is a great way to find out a players potential, if he does well, you can buy him with complete confidence, knowing that he will fit into the side. However, if we had loaned De Vries, I doubt many of us would have wanted him back going on last seasons performance. But it will change this year of course.

Gené and Tonic Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Well, Levein's other signings were great. So there is no reason way De Vries can't be as good. There must have been some reason for Levein bringing him here.

He's already shown what professional attitude he has unlike our former left-back
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Yeah, I'd rather have De Vries than Stewart. He's dedicated and wants to perform.
LoneWolf Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 na id rather have stewart, he was more versatile in the postions that need filling now (left back, left mid) with MDV i havent really seen him preform, but when i watched Gilette soccer saturday (when i didnt go to the game) i used to see MDV up quite alot... so i am sure he needs to be eating the same breakfast as he was at hearts.
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Those positions only need filling because we sold him.
shep Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 He looks a good player would be a good signing i still think Lee Trundle is worth a go depending on how much but aloisi id also be happy with yes he did play for Cov wasnt very good
