Fox in a Box Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Do we require to stay up 44? then were only 17 away. how many do you think we need??
StanSP Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Why?!?!?!? Why oh why are you talking about 'staying up' Enjoy the good times of a fucking awesome win tonight!

Father Ted Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 I would say ANOTHER 44 to 'guarantee' a play-off spot.
The Doctor Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Do we require to stay up 44? then were only 17 away.how many do you think we need?? It's usually at about 50-55 points to stay up, 56-59 lower mid table, 60-65 mid table to play offs, 66-75 play-offs and 78+ Promotion with 85+ winning the title.
The Doctor Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 another 5/6 wins and were safe. Jeeze Louise, i'd love to sit here and talk about survial but we are in the automatic promotion spots for the first time in nigh on half a decade! Just be happywith our current league position and stop looking over your shoulder.
Matt Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Why?!?!?!?Why oh why are you talking about 'staying up' Enjoy the good times of a fucking awesome win tonight! Enjoy, We have waited many year to enjoy supporting our team and be proud of our team, the last year and a half has been amazing, However Safety First, Always. I'd be lying if I hadn't asked the question of "How many points do we need roughly to be safe" myself though, I'm still bloody ecstatic about where we are and how far we have come after so much shite for the last god knows how many years previous.
LoughboroughFox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Dont you just love positiveness! how many wins to stay safe? is this a load of bollox?
shen Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 So no-one realised the OP was saying this tongue in cheek? Jeez Louise indeed...
Fox in a Box Posted 30 October 2009 Author Posted 30 October 2009 bunch of suckers the lot on yah!.... relish the moment! and take the pi55
kingston_fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 You might laugh but I remember reading an article on some team playing Man Utd in January. After the game they could hear this all-mighty racket and champagne popping in the dressing-room and wondered what the hell it was all about - turned out it was them celebrating avoiding relegation! All part of the psychology I suppose. Still, we aren't Man Utd so we might as well enjoy what we have tonight!

Joking apart Matts right, safety does come first and theres nothing wrong with thinking about such things. No more daft than talking about getting promoted in October
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 bunch of suckers the lot on yah!.... relish the moment! and take the pi55 Please explain in detail the reasoning behind your posts. I am not for or against you, but please make your point.

All part of the psychology I suppose.Still, we aren't Man Utd so we might as well enjoy what we have tonight! That would be hilarious if it were Man Utd doing all of the celebrating. In fact, if I were Sir Alex, I'd fill the dressing room with bubbly when my squad reached 40 points just to be a pompous dick.
Flynny Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 I'd still be fairly happy with 10-12th unless we capitulated horribly. If the team give their all and come up short, fair enough.
muffin Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Do we require to stay up 44? then were only 17 away.how many do you think we need?? As many as we can get! muffin
Jordan Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 I seem to remember a team called Leicester City getting relegated with 52 a couple of years ago. Granted, 52 points for a 22nd-place team is an anomaly, but...
FilboFox Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 I'm looking at how many we need to possibly push for the play-offs, not relegation!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 Just 12 points off of what Charlton got last year.
Flynny Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 I seem to remember a team called Leicester City getting relegated with 52 a couple of years ago. Never heard of them.
