willy37 Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 did anyone go brum away a couple years ago? "30 quid, we'll all stand up" take 2!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 did anyone go brum away a couple years ago?"30 quid, we'll all stand up" take 2! That was first sang at Forest away in 2004 i think 31 quid and we'll stand up
Tommeh Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 did anyone go brum away a couple years ago?"30 quid, we'll all stand up" take 2! Remember the Brum game very well. Also yeah we did do it at Forest in 2004. Few tried to get it going at QPR but everyone was happy to stand anyhow and there wasn't really any steward bother. We really should all stand for this like the 2nd cup game, it was only in the 1st leg where we got bother in the lower tier.
clazkel Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 I think the police might have a busy day on 5th dec as according to the forest forum there is a BNP march, maybe thats why the kick off was brought forward http://www.forestforum.co.uk/index.php?top...59.msg101195801

Still, they pretty much stand for the same tripe though.
RowlattsFox Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 If I borrow adult season tickets would I only be able to buy adult match tickets? I want to risk buying student ones.
AmericanScott Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 I'm not a student and i'm not under 18 but if: A) i get a friend to buy 2 student tickets (he's a student) will i need to show some sort of proof i am a student at the gate or something? or B) I look under 18 anyway (i'm 21 in a few months but still look 16) so which will be easier?

I'm a student and I've never been asked yet for my student ID, and I certainly don't look like a student. It all depends on the club and whether you have a Hilterish turnstyle operative or not. The ideal scenario is when the club has electronic turnstyles, which, I cannot remember if Forest have or not. Sorry, that wasn't a massive amount of help was it.
Craig Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 A few seasons ago (2004/5?) at Forest i was asked for student ID when i got to the gate. But in 2007 i wasn't.

Wilkesy Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 This should be a quality day out. Hopefully going to get the train into Nottingham nice and early, find a Wetherspoons and begin the beer consumption
AmericanScott Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 This should be a quality day out. Hopefully going to get the train into Nottingham nice and early, find a Wetherspoons and begin the beer consumption I found a good spoons near the Arena when i went Notts about a year ago. Not sure if that's near the City Ground though. In regards to the student ticket thing, i think i'll play it safe and get an U18 ticket.
syston_fox Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 Two spoons in the centre I think - one near the tram station which is the bigger of the two and another more out of the way at the top of the hill near tesco. For Wilkes: The bigger spoons is next to the tram stop next to college.
Guest Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 There's three; one on the Market Square, one just off the Market Square at the back of the Bell, and one nearer to the station. The one nearer the station is going to be the one nearest to the City Ground.

Guest Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 Where abouts is the one nearer to the station? If you head up towards the Broadmarsh, then turn left instead of going towards the Broadmarsh/bus station, go past the Fellowes pub (nice place, but pricey the last time we went in) and then it's left off there a bit further down. It's the Lloyds, but it's still Spoons.
Cobbo Posted 11 November 2009 Posted 11 November 2009 Worries of the police escort from the station shall be averted by my Guardian under my arm damn it. Looking forward to this one
Dr The Singh Posted 12 November 2009 Posted 12 November 2009 Worries of the police escort from the station shall be averted by my Guardian under my arm damn it.Looking forward to this one I don't need to worry about a police escort, I've gone and booked an escort for the day and night................unfortunately there was no student discount though!!
Maybes Posted 12 November 2009 Posted 12 November 2009 They collared me at Cov for a student ticket and tried to make me upgrade until I flashed them a Rileys membership card and got away with it weeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!
Katy Posted 12 November 2009 Posted 12 November 2009 They collared me at Cov for a student ticket and tried to make me upgrade until I flashed them a Rileys membership card and got away with it weeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!! That was lucky. I'm surprised they didn't ask me then.

Ashley Posted 12 November 2009 Author Posted 12 November 2009 Just got myself an NUS Extra card for a tenner - money off at loadsa places including Amazon, Play and Pizza Hut. Cant argue with that! Nus Extra? Nus cards are well good, free burger, cheese burger, nuggets, fries or ice cream when you buy a medium or larger meal or if you buy bigmac, chicken sandwich etc free fries. Oh the joys of being a student

Oh the joys of being a student Yeah - its like a normal NUS but for people who arent really students I think. Me, Wilkes and Maybes are studying for accountancy exams so are only part time students but seem to qualify for this card which gets us some pretty decent discounts. Dunno the logic behind it all but if it saves me a fortune for Forest away then Im all for it!

I dont know if you still have anything to do with UCAS? but if you do you can apply for a UCAS discount card which is similar to the NUS card
