Katy Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 Yeah - its like a normal NUS but for people who arent really students I think. Me, Wilkes and Maybes are studying for accountancy exams so are only part time students but seem to qualify for this card which gets us some pretty decent discounts. Dunno the logic behind it all but if it saves me a fortune for Forest away then Im all for it! I have this card too, it's green innit.
calum_lcfc Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 I'm not a student and i'm not under 18 but if:A) i get a friend to buy 2 student tickets (he's a student) will i need to show some sort of proof i am a student at the gate or something? or B) I look under 18 anyway (i'm 21 in a few months but still look 16) so which will be easier? I am 19 and work full time but I always get a student and have never been asked for I.D so get a student for your a mate and under 18 for you, get him to say he is taking his brother or something. £12 a ticket get on it win 3-1 Fraytt hat trick good times
syston_fox Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 I agree with you. I've just got one from my sixth form. I dont know if you still have anything to do with UCAS? but if you do you can apply for a UCAS discount card which is similar to the NUS card Sadly not - my UCAS / Uni days are behind me now!
Podge Posted 14 November 2009 Posted 14 November 2009 £12 ticket £8.50 return ticket for the train even i can afford that. I need to enjoy this last year of nice student prices.

I'm 25 and I certainly look 25 [maybe more depends on who you ask <_< ] but nonetheless, I always buy student tickets even though I am not a student. And I have never been asked for anything. Even if they ask me for a proof I tend to have a little back-up plan.
lcfc_jme Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Hellooooooooo Forest end!! (I'm aware that I'd rather stand in our end but I highly, highly doubt I'll manage to get tickets for that unfortunately).
Guest Mee-9 Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Definately going, Could any1 help me tho? Right heres the scenario. I'm going with my dad, uncle and bro. My uncle and bro along with me are both season ticket holders. Any way we could get tickets on the same day next to each other, and what priority would i need. Cheers guys
RedHux Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Just a quick one to those getting tickets in the Forest ends, might I recommend the Brian Clough stand as it's mostly a library and if you're "outed" are much less likely to get either thrown out or beaten senseless and then thrown out. Here's to a good game chaps and lady chaps.

john_lcfc Posted 17 November 2009 Posted 17 November 2009 surely that lower tier is all we get it holds about 4,500? its season ticket holders in the tier above.
RedHux Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 surely that lower tier is all we get it holds about 4,500? its season ticket holders in the tier above. yep. Lower bridgford is your lot. Above that is all Forest and you'll be happy to know that there's now a netting thing above you to prevent the lobbing of stuff from the upper tier. Although I sit there and have never seen it it's not an uncommon complaint from away fans.

I'd like to think I'm wise enough to just play the student role and not let on I'm a Leicester fan, but if either team scored then I doubt I'd be able to contain any reaction .. Oh well, still hoping to be in our end anyway.

lcfc_jme Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 Anybody who picks me up a ticket for this (or allows me to use their season ticket if they're not going) is an absolute icon and will be loved by me forever. It will be paid for promptly and I may even agree to make love to you. Great deal.
