lol, they do stuff against scientology every so often. They did a world wide protest a while back.

Though to be fair the last thing the world needs is ANOTHER religion.

i'm slightly more sympathetic to scientology, to my mind 'aliens' are more likely to exist than some super natural entity who goes around causing marriage troubles for people by impregnating someone's mrs and that.

that's racist! you can't go judging what people do for the sake of their religion!

i suppose forcing a man to reach the point of slaughtering his own son, to prove how much you believe in that god, is normal though? (i'm not judging anyone ;) )

Lots of families slaughter theyre own kids for "bringing shame" on the family and theyre not supposedly "weird" religions. Its about the individuals not the religion in most cases Id suggest.

Im sure alot of common religions do some messed up stuff. I read about this scientology before and do things like stop their followers from taking prescription medicines when they need them.Pretty much force them to stop seeing their families. Can't remember it all very well because it was a while back.

ARe you talking about Mary? She wasn't married you know. Joseph never existed, he was a made up part of the story. Mary wasn't courting so it didn't cause any marraige trouble. She did get alot of grief from her family and the community though for being 'preggers plays pop' while single :D

I agree with a small part of Scientology. The 'alien' (or whatever they are) part. Many religions think the same on that. In Islam it says that there are 18,000 worlds and there are living creatures in every single one. So that religion definately know there are other beings out there. Christianity also has plenty of mention of 'aliens'. So does one of the Indian ones, not sure which, it might be something to do with the Baghavadgita or something like that. Some stuff about 'ships' in the sky in there.

Scientology is just a bit of a money-making religion though if you ask me. All the 'lower' people in that don't half lose alot of cash. Don't know what the top level people in there get up to but you can bet it involves alot of ritual and magic. Same as Kaballah stuff. Full of 'magic' and trying to contact the unseen

It's not a problem to me.

From what little I know of scientology it does seem a bizarre belief dreamt up by L. Ron Hubbard to make money. That doesn't mean that the ordinary members of the church aren't sincere, well meaning people.
