Time of our Lives - Leicester

No your right..... I'm a 12 year old Grimsby fan. I wondered how long it would be before somebody clicked on! Good work :whistle:

Or....

Try reading the posts I made after this where I credited Walsh as a ''Great player, great servant to the club''. After the numerous times I've had any contact with Steve Walsh, he has done enough to strike me as arrogant and full of himself, and in my humble opinion that showed again last night.

There's banter and then there's trying to relate everything back to yourself e.g when talking about Leicester in general at Highbury and Walsh had to slip in that he came on as a sub at 5-0 and it finished 6-1 so he improved the team etc, blaming Keller for his 30 yard OG, the list goes on......

Stop being so pathetic and stop acting like a 12 year old then. Why would I want to read any of your boring posts, it was obviously banter, have you never acted arrogant down the pub with your mates (on second thoughts dont answer that), its just banter. this is what made this side so great and why they ground out so many results.

Well whatever his character, knob, tit, spanner arrogant, banterman or just a good all round egg buying everyone drinks it's what made him the player he was and through him and his character we were successful.

Just for the record and not to start another debate MON doesn't sound all the pleasant.

Was thinking this too, having heard what the guys have to say about him, hes not short of a bit of overt "assertiveness", i can now see him really taking over at Manure, seems he should have no trouble to fit the mould left by Fergy

How dare you say anything bad about MON, he's a god.. a tosser.. an arrogant ****... a hero... :)

RichFox, I've just spent 5 minutes reading some of your past posts on this forum. Boring Hell!!!

And yes I have acted arrogant down the pub with mates...BUT.... Not everytime! And EVERYTIME I have had contact with Walsh he has acted the same. Things like the Leicester legends matches which I help organise the bar staff for at certain venues, Walsh has been rude to some of my staff on several occassions.

They do say never meet your heroes so I'm sorry if I'm ruining Walsh's squeeky clean image for you!

watched this this morning. good show but no highlights to go with what they were talking about?dissapointing. im sure Elliott would of loved to see his brace vs Tranmere again and Izzet would love to have seen his dash into the box to win a pen at wembley vs Palace

Recorded it and watched it last night.

Like above, I thought we were going to see some highlights and clips from various games such as the Tranmere game and that etc.

Did you hear Walsh? Kept on trying to take the glory - 'I slipped it through to you Muz' lol

Loved it thought, listening to things we didn't know about training and behind the scenes with Martin and co.

aye suppose we cannae complain. it was nice to see that kind of insight behind the scenes etc. i guess they dont wan't to turn it into a highlights show otherwise it'd be some kind of premiership years based around one team.

If you've ever watched the show before which guessing by your posts you haven't then you would know they don't show highlights. :)

Are our fans always this fickle? lol

Cheers for that davie, was a good watch.

MON sounds like an absolute animal in the dressing room, but it brought out the best in the players he had and he gets results, got to love it.

They made it sound as though the club was such a good place to be during that time though, and the comment about big Stan -

I heard a player before stating players didnt like MON, but they seem to respect him.

Its funny though for all the problems Stan Collymore had he absolutely LOVED MON (in his autobiography) and said hed have never left if MON hadnt gone to Celtic. He claims he didnt get on with Peter Taylor.

I think they probably did respect him and hed certainly put the fear of God into them Id imagine lol

The interview in The Fox with Ian Marshall about the MON era is absolutely brilliant, well worth a read. He treated Marshall like absolute shit at times, just to get the best out of him!

Where can I see/get hold of that? Sounds good!

There's usually a Fox seller on the way to the stadium, coming down the old stadium direction. Costs £2, but is well worth it for that interview. Such a revealing insight into how he was as a manager... and Dare I say it, all I could think was 'Clough, Clough, Clough' as Marsh carried on describing him.
