or how to sell tickets :P

From the OS

Chairman Milan Mandaric was in high spirits after City clearly dominated Saturday's game and secured a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, expressing his gratitude to the Foxes faithful.

"I can't thank the fans enough," Chairman Milan Mandaric said. "Of course I know how loyal Leicester fans are, but the atmosphere on Saturday was great again and they played a huge part in helping the team to that very convincing win.

"The Walkers Stadium has the potential to be one of the most atmospheric in the league. I am already looking forward to Boxing Day, as the Christmas clash is always a special one."

Leicester City continue to be one of the best supported Championship sides.

To see City in action on Boxing Day against Sheffield United, call the ticket office on 0844 815 5000, email [email protected] or save time and buy online by clicking HERE. Why not save money and get a 2nd Half Season Ticket instead?

Just to make you aware I couldnt make the game on Saturday, but was listening. I could hear all chants and cheers from the centre of Braunstone. Fair play  sad I wasn't there.

Had a few of my mates tell me (who are Sheffield Wednesday fans) that the Leicester fans were shocking.

But, what can I say really? Because I agree - there is no atmosphere.

Then again, no fans create a great atmosphere when they are at home apart from the clubs with awesome songs like Liverpool and Chelsea etc.

Every home game has poor support. Apparently even Sheffield Wednesday aren't that great at home themselves. It's away when the real noise kicks in.

True story. You wouldn't believe that Leeds' away support is as good as it is when you visit Elland Road. Our home support is as bad as our away support is good, pretty much the same for everyone.

I know.

And, from my previous Hillsborough visits, they are no better than us/any other side.

For a 3-0 win I thought the atmosphere was absolutely diabolical from us.

The only time we were any good was when we sang Carnival De Paris after a goal, which after the third was superb, so glad I text that suggestion in to the the radio because its coming across pretty nicely. (Thats actually a true story btw)

And the clubs are happy to pretend otherwise - those running football today are mostly jonny come latelies and have never experienced a real old fashioned home atmosphere.

Atmospheric - my arse!

I've been to anfield and they were crap until they scored, i've also seen them away against arsenal and they weren't anything special.

Atmosphere at any football stadium is banned under the Taylor Report of 1990.

I thought you knew this by now?!

I think we should chose a game and try and get everybody to sit near each other rather than it being spread out at the moment, get some flairs, some drums and some drunken eastern europeans, job done.

Chelsea? I don't find anything awesome about that over bloated combat 18 posh stamford bridge club. Been there, not impressed with their home fans. And their songs? Foxes got better ones for sure.

Ive been Anfield 3 times with City and sat in the Kop once against Steau and they have been shit on every occasion. They do make decent witty chants but wouldnt say they were very loud.

Champions league nights look a bit special on the box

Like anywhere else, it's loud for the big games and not so, for the lesser games.

If and when Leicester get back to the Prem, that's when the atmosphere will come back to the Walkers because everyone will be up for it and that's the difference.

We're (not FT necessarily) always really quick to slag off our home support, when it isn't THAT bad in reality - its at least on par with 95% of other English league clubs. There are some small pockets where its actually quite good (L and K being the obvious choices, but in the middle of J somewhere at the back, there's a group of about 10-15 Poles who are brilliant!), its just a case of lots of quieter people padding it all out.

I'm not too bothered about 'our atmosphere' anyway, it can be awesome (Man Utd, Leeds) and its the same anywhere else. A lot of people choose not to go to the Walkers 'cos its a bit quiet, but if everyone who felt this way turned up, it might be just that little bit louder.

Liverpool fans are lame. I've sat in the Holte End when they visited Villa a few years ago and they were woefully shit. Horrendous. I've also been to watch them when they played Roma in the Champions League many years ago, and although they do make some noise on CL nights it is massively exaggerated. Their home support being "special" is a load of bollocks - vastly overrated. I hate when they get so much praise in the media about it.

Chelsea are even worse. I once tagged along with a mate to watch them against Wigan at the JJB, and Chelsea couldn't even sell out their allocation. How embarrassing is that. Their support is nowt to shout about either. Pretty ordinary tbh. Home fans are even more horrendous. They take the piss out of Arsenal being a library, but Stamford Bridge are honestly on a whole new level - you can hear Petr Cech fart during the game.

The only away fans that have impressed me big time are Leeds and Manchester United.

The loudest atmosphere i've been to was at Anfield. It genuinely can be deafening on a big CL night and is probably the loudest in the country then but is generally quiet like anywhere else.

Manchester United and Leeds have the loudest away support.
