Matt Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Merry christmas but looks like your fooked pal. Someones blatontly robbed your jacket unless the boucer was charged on angel dust. Bollocks, Other people would have kicked off, but being the calm, quiet lad I am I just said Ok and walked away (I'm not the moaning person I turn out to be on here in real life ). Oh well, I'll go back and try to collect it/Get some money out of them, but doubt it's gonna happen. I wanted a new jacket anyway

I wanted a new jacket anyway Sorry didn't want to be negative but if you and the bouncer couldn't find it then somethings wrong unless your both charged up like I said Whatever you do, don't let it lye and hassle them if they have lost it as I'm sure their fully responsible for your items. Don't worry about it mate, I'm sure you or the bouncer were to mashed to find it. Go back on boxing day or the next day their open. Merry christmas Matt

Merry christmas Matt I'm pissed don't get me wrong Yeah I thought it would be a right of mine for them to be fully responsible for my items as i've paid for a service, only £1 but i've paid for them to look after my belongings, but at the same time wouldn't surprise me if there was some sneakily hidden disclaimer saying it is at my own risk. On the bright side I was going to go out in my Parker which is even more expensive but I decided not too. Merry Christmas Edmund Crouchback
Guest Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 have I got any rights? Or is it a case of "Leave at you're own risk"? Was there a sign disclaiming any liability? What does the ticket say, is there any small print on the side? Were there any signs at all? Did the member of staff dealing with you say owt? If not, this might be of use to you.

Since sobering up and looking at the ticket, Their maximum liability allowance is £65, So not all bad, I'm going to claim it cost £120 but doubt that will make the slightest of difference's, £65 it will be, Take it or leave it. They may have found it when I go back tomorrow or whenever I go and see them.

I got £130 for a load of clothes that cost no more than £40 when a Shell pump covered me in petrol.
Matt Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 I got £130 for a load of clothes that cost no more than £40 when a Shell pump covered me in petrol. Nasty. Yeah well i'll claim it cost alot, should get atleast £65 but i'll try for more.
Guest Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Nasty.Yeah well i'll claim it cost alot, should get atleast £65 but i'll try for more. It was. I needed loads of hydrocortisone after that. If you don't ask, you don't get, and the beauty of the small claims track is you don't need a lawyer or any knowledge of the law, but businesses need insurance. The downside is insurers need their money back but if this isn't the first time, it's more likely that the insurers will sting the club involved....
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Weirdest Christmas Eve of my life. Bizarre.
Matt Posted 26 December 2009 Posted 26 December 2009 Been down to try and sort my jacket, It's definitely not there, but there is someone else's jacket - So sounds as-if they've got my jacket although that jacket is a smaller size, so whether they will return my jacket Anyway i've got an insurance claims form, The manager said she'd try and sort something more than £65 out but it didn't sound promising, I think £65 will be my lot as that it the insurance pay out, she said she'd sort me free membership and free drinks out, all in her interest of getting extra business though isn't it?
Tilley Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 My favourite day of the year I think, much better than Christmas Day. I love the smell of food being cooked, wrapping the presents with the family, having a few drinks and of course listening to my old mate Cliff.
Tilley Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Just getting in the mood, Samilktray. It'll soon be time for me to descend on Boots and get all of my family a set out of the 3 for 2 mix and match.
The Doctor Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Its October. christmas stuff is already in the shops, it's started snowing in northern scotland & there's less than 10 weeks to go. Get in the mood.

Last years' Xmas eve was not one to remember for me though. Told my parents I wasn't gonna drink much. Ended up necking between a quarter/half bottle or Rose, getting in a taxi, throwing up in a taxi, calling mum, dad and brother to help me, getting out of taxi and lying on the floor, and neighbours watching on as dad helps me stagger in to the house. Very embarrassing

Tilley Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Yeah but Scottish people are, let them enjoy their snow Samilktray.
