The Hate page is a disgrace, the people involved need a good kicking.

Criticising players after a poor performance is one thing, the Hate page is something else entirely, just chav bullying of the very lowest order.

Those of you who think it's just a bit of a laugh need to think again and get off the site, the rest of you who think it is ok need to returm to the shallow end of the gene pool from whence you came!

For once in your life just get off the fence and tell us what you think! :giggle::thumbup:

I think "hate" group is a bit strong. It does seem to have been infested by knee-jerk ****** spouting shite though, including a Chelsea fan for some bizarre reason. :|

The vitriol being levelled against it is a bit ridiculous - it's only a Facebook group, the only thing on the internet less important than a chat forum. I think it speaks volumes that the only members of the group who shave are women. It's no more valid than any knee-jerk wank opinion expressed here by the lobotomised immediately following the game.

It's as if no one remembers our final couple of seasons in the Championship before the drop.

It maybe only a facebook group but pointing out how pathetic it is might help some more challenged individuals to realise how moronic they look.

I wish someone had pointed that out to me as I abused Stearman for being shit. :P

I absolutely agree.

I'm not one for slating players but if I was on those sort of wages, I don't think I'd be sulking to long as I drive home in my £100,000 car to my £500,000 house, to shag my page 3 wife on my £10,000 couch and wash up in my £20,000 jacuzzi.

It's a hard life isn't it. :D

fook it, since everyone else who's become a target for abuse has subsequently had someone step up to defend them, I'm going to wade in on behalf of Wayne Brown. He takes his fair share of abuse at the moment, but I thought he actually did OK on Sunday, at least in comparison to the overall performance.

We had a bad day, as a team, and that affects everyone, especially at the back. A moment of brilliance by a forward can transform a game, and therefore people's opinions, but by and large defenders stand out by what they do badly, and that doesn't help either. Brown isn't the fastest, and criticising him for being slow is just pointless - he more than makes up for it normally with intelligence, positioning and some very well-timed sliding tackles that bring tears to the eyes.

On Sunday he and Morrison both struggled with position, partly because of the well-documented problems we've got with full-backs. Niether Nielson nor McGivern are exactly bounding with confidence or pace, and as a result, Brown and Morrison were drifting wide to provide some cover to them, which in turn created much more space in the centre of defence than we normally see. I don't think you can point at any one individual for that - it's a case of stretching four defenders who don't gel reliably over a pitch which is just too big to cover like that: there will be a gap somewhere for teams to exploit.

Wayne made a few decent passes in the first half, and then reverted to his usual hoofball - and his passing range is not great. That's the most frustrating thing for me at the moment about watching City: our defenders know they've got poor long ball skills, and are much better at playing short passes, but our midfield for whatever reason are not creating space, so the first thought of our back four when they get the ball is to turn it back to Weale and let him boot it up in the general direction of Steve Howard. Somehow, visiting teams are able to both double-team Howard and also close down all our midfield ball players, which shouldn't be possible in an eleven-a-side game, but it happens with depressing regularity.

But Brown provides an experienced brain in the back five, and he's always the defender most likely to be chatting away to the others, and to Weale, sorting out the back line, ensuring they play up as a unit and so on, and without him in the team we are weaker defensively. Putting Hobbs in for him would lower the average age of our back four to pre-school levels in terms of Championship football, and that's a scary proposition, and one I don't blame NP at all for wanting to avoid. I liked Gilbert last season, and didn't see him as the liability some on here are now describing, but it's true he wouldn't add much to the tally of experience.

What's the solution? The Oakley-to-rightback idea has some legs, and it would be interesting to see if he could make a go of it. It would help too with the problem in midfield of having three players who all like to cover the same five yards of grass and then trip over each other's feet. With Oakley at right back, we could have Gallagher or N'Guessan wide on the right, and expect them to actually stay there.

Still, what with the facebook group, and the incessant moaning on the Mercury website, I have entered a period of deep despair about the state of City fans. Booing a side fifth in the championship just makes no sense at all. Even the likes of Middlesboro fans have had to recognise that this is a tough league and they have no right to expect favours. Given our recent history, genuine City fans should be prepared to carry any member of the first team squad round the Walkers on their shoulders in gratitude at the contribution each and every one have made to turning our club around, and yet all some people can do is moan.

Of course some players have made a better or bigger contribution to that than others, and of course some people have turned out to be less good than we'd hoped. But for the first time in half a dozen years I'm not embarrassed to be a fan of my home-town club, but instead of having some pride in the improvements we've shown under NP, I have to be embarrassed instead by the pitiful excuse for a fanbase that Leicester provides. Why can we not for a short while at least enjoy the fact that we're challenging for promotion to the Premier League at last?

i don't agree with the "we should be happy with were we are" school of thought

i think it's weak and counter productive. we are in with a real shot of being promoted and we need to get the right team playing to give ourselves the best chance. theres no guarantees in football, who knows what will happen at the end of this season or next season. we need to make the most of it and the team were playing at the moment isn't going to do that.

just my opinion

There's no contradiction between being pleased with achievement and wanting to improve. Quality managers blend the two together. Smart fans do it too.

The problem with thinking you can only do one or the other is unless you're a fan of Manchester United or Real Madrid you're going to have to choose the disappointed expectations, and ignore the achievements, every time. That is just as counterproductive as underplaying our expectations.

As for "the team we're playing at the moment", at least in terms of defensive formations, it's pretty much the team forced on us. And it would be easy to make the situation worse by over-reaction to the current difficulties in defence.

obviously. but to accept doing better than you thought they would as a positive for the season. is aiming a little low.

And because someone old doesn't like a player it makes him Satan incarnate?

Plently of moaning old shits in that stadium, expecting the impossible.

that's the kop for you.

If Neilson messed something up and played like he did at Wembley in the playoffs, half of you would be the first ones to critisize him.

plenty more that half are already critizing him for not being Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Boswinga or some like that.

Not really a hate group is it? When its called, "Robbie Neilson you try hard but you just aint good enough for LCFC"

By the way some of you were talking about this hate group. You'd think these groups were lynchmobs. I joined it, i couldn't give a shit what you think.

Shut up.

Neilson is shite.

End of (From viewing games, I don't go to many games no more but from what I've saw.. He's dogshit)

So stop going on and on, he's not good enough.

Talk about showing yourself up. I have said on here that Neilson isn't good enough, I have not defended him on here. I think he is well out of his depth.

However, I kind of think I am above the kind of moron who would join in a torrent of abuse on a Facebook Group. This kind of thing CAN damage a player and therefore the team spirit.

The best thing you can contribute to this topic is silence, Tevez.

What's different to torrenting abuse on here than a facebook group?

Sit down son.

Firstly, I ain't your son.

Secondly, I haven't joined a torrent of abuse on here either. There's a big difference between saying someone is out of their depth, and calling them fooking shit.

Figure of speech.

It seems to be completely similiar, "Robbie Neilson you try hard but you just aint good enough for LCFC" and saying someone if out of their depth.
