shen Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 What a shit game. It was painful to watch. One team not committing anything forward, the other unable to get a cross past the first man or do anything more creative than hoof the ball forward or out of play... dreadful...
Tilley Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Absoutely crap. Ending the game with four strikers, two being on the wings is ridiculous. McGivern and Neilson are definitely Pearson's worst signings.
coale39 Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Played poor all game except for just after half time. The corner at the end sumed it up.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Poor game, Poor performance but it happens. 1 more point towards safety. JOKE!!!
martyn Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Just lacklustre all round. 2 poor sides with neither deserving of a victory, despite the best efforts of messers McGivern, Nielsen and Brown to hand one to Ipswich.
lcfcsnow Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Terrible really. Not impressed by Pearson looking smug all game either - setting up a team today devoid of any flair or ability to pass a ball is not much of an achievement, only to bore the national viewing public.
MPH Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Poor game.... trying to look for positives and the only thing i can think of is a couple of seasons ago, thats the sort of game we would of lost.... But surely this game has shown even more clearly where we need to strengthen... LB,RB,RW,ATT.. sounds easy.
lcfcsnow Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 McGivern and Neilson are definitely Pearson's worst signings. Closely followed by bombscare Brown.
Libertine Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Not impressed by Pearson looking smug all game either - Ha, that's what I thought. Bizarre. Smiling through an abysmal first half. Didn't seem to have any interest in winning the game.

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 We miss Berner so much, his experience, his calmness...his ability to pass a football. Neilson and McGivern were utter shite, it wasn't a great performance overall but those two were extremely woeful. Why did our passing game go to pot today as well? So frustrating seeing the ball go over Wellens and Kings head... Still we didn't loose
ousefox Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 What a shit game! I think we deserved the point but could have easily won it. McGivern and Neilson shouldn't be allowed near a football pitch and Brown had another poor game. Michael Morrison had another good game and should be the only player who would be in the defence if everybody was fit. It was like there was no midfield today and I hardly saw King and Wellens touch the ball. Dyer had a good first half but seemed to dissapear in the second and i didn't see anything from Oakley which warramts him a starting place every week.
FOX_TROT_07 Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Todays performance was a nervy one. we never looked comftable against Ipswich's strikers, Weale looked shakey on crosses. Fryatt wasn't in the game but to be fair he was not given much from midfield, i still say Oakley is not a winger. we have the players (apart from right back) we just need to keep our shape throughout the game and play people in there RIGHT positions.
portchy! Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 not the best performance! surely pearson realises what poor full backs we have, mcgivern and nielson are our 2 weakest links. Oakley isnt a right midfielder and often went in side leaving us with nothin out right. surprised to see dyer come off aswell awww well at least we got a point

Weale looked quite assured to me all day. Made vital saves too.
ousefox Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 Weale looked quite assured to me all day. Made vital saves too. I would agree with that. Best player for us today.
