Guest Mee-9 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 So true, after his performance at the Swansea match the last place he should of been was on that pitch. And after 21 seconds of play he proved that point. He does not have the pace at the moment, loosing to many balls. Yeah, that player made him look like a lemon.
Joe. Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Just seen a 'Robbie Neilson is just not good enough for Leicester City' Facebook group. Pathetic.
Viper7513 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Just seen a 'Robbie Neilson is just not good enough for Leicester City' Facebook group. Pathetic. That is pathetic. Yes he has had a few bad games and i dont think he should of played Sunday. Certainly no reason to oust the man. He will turn it round. How many games did Fryatt go without scoring? was he no longer good enough for us?
Corky Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Neilson was woeful and although he's an easy target for abuse, I can't remember him doing anything right in particular. Right back is such an important position in any team, but in our side it's probably the most vital. The amount of matches this season in which our right back has had so much space so frequently going forward without creating anything remotely near a goal is frightening. I'm thinking Morrison vs Derby and Neilson in countless games other than yesterday. If I was Pearson I'd be looking for a right-back with some footballing ability this January. Failing that, I'd move Oakley there. Agree with all of that. Oakley is struggling at the moment on the right (he did well last season in that role, so I can see why Pearson plays him there), but we need proper width. Surprised that N'Guessan didn't get a chance yesterday, Adams I've no idea about, so maybe try Oakley as RB. I've tried to warm to Neilson, I don't dispute his effort, but his thinking is too slow.
Joe. Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Neilson won't "turn it around" because he can't. He is a limited footballer going forward who does his job at the back and gets very little help from his teamn mates. I actually can't believe the scapegoat he is made out to be, because for me he does his defensive work absolutely fine. I think the whole of our defence need to take note of that famous Brian Clough quote, not just Robbie Neilson - "you win it, then give it to somebody who can play". Because quite frankly the distribution from our backline is abysmal. He was dreadful yesterday, but so were Brown and McGivern from what I saw.
lou Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I was very much against Neilson earlier on in the season but hes definately improved but to start up a facebook against a current player like that is pathetic. How the fook is that going to help the player or the club? A lady I know who works at the club (something to do with the Academy lads but Im not saying what) was at the Christmas party and talking to Andy Kings Dad who was telling her how much the criticism King had been getting on the net had been getting to him and was playing on his mind, he was so relieved to score to get the negatives off his case for a while at least.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I'm sorry, but i really don't think Neilson is good. Shoot me for saying it. But he isnt.
SMX11 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Some guy behind me was abusing all the players yesterday, however I did laugh when he shouted "Get lost Kojak" directed at Wayne Brown
orangecity23 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 This full back abuse is getting ridiculous now, some people are acting like Neilson and McGivern have come into the house and pissed in their teapot. Neilson is a limited player technically, but he's been made to look worse by the lack of passing options available to him. Time after time yesterday, he'd get given the ball in a wide right position, to find the Ipswich left winger and left back closing him down, with Oakley nowhere to be found because he'd drifted into central midfield. With no chance of beating two men for pace/and or skill, he's left with 1 option, a speculative lob forward in the hope that Fryatt would make a diagonal run towards the channel. It's no coincidence that Neilson didn't look as bad when Gallagher came on, since Gallagher actually stayed wide and provided an attacking outlet for Neilson to use. Full back is an important position, but a big part of the role is linking up with their winger. It's a partnership, and Oakley seems to be getting off relatively scott free while Neilson shoulders all the blame for our woes down the right hand side of the team. McGivern was shakey in the first half, but he got better as the game wore on, and from where I was sitting in the kop, it seemed he had a very solid second half. He had a tricky pacey winger to mark, and made a decent fist of it all things considered. It's also getting on my nerves hearing people carp on about wanting the full backs subbed off during the game. WE HAVE NO FIT ALTERNATIVE FULL BACKS ON THE BENCH! At the minute McGivern and Neilson are the only full backs (if Morrison is playing centre back), until Berner gets back, there is not a lot else we can do, unless we shove Morrison over from centre back to right back, which is just as much of a gamble with Brown's recent form. Rant over Our full backs aren't brilliant, but their both trying their best, so maybe we should try supporting them a little eh?
CosbehFox Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Just seen a 'Robbie Neilson is just not good enough for Leicester City' Facebook group. Pathetic. and what's the other half of the title of the group say? Something along the lines of 'you try hard but you are just not good enough'. The signing was worthy of a punt...freebie...newly promoted side, we've pretty got away with him for half of a season, so that will be that.
dandannieldanok Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I actually can't believe the scapegoat he is made out to be, because for me he does his defensive work absolutely fine. Agreed, a full-backs primary job is to defend and he's competent enough at that. If we want better we'll have to spend a bit of cash.
Lillehamring Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Neilson won't "turn it around" because he can't. Because quite frankly the distribution from our backline is abysmal. He was dreadful yesterday, but so were Brown and McGivern from what I saw. so was morrison at times yesterday, he seems to be escaping from the defensive witch hunt, but the amount of balls he sliced horrifically caught my attention, and often he was caught out of position... the back four was a car crash and could have shipped a few, had it not been for weale making some good stops and ipswich's poor finishing and lack of interest in attacking for most of the game. but when they came forward, it was nervy stuff, and i think a lot of that can be attributed to brown's presence...
Bert Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Agreed, a full-backs primary job is to defend and he's competent enough at that. If we want better we'll have to spend a bit of cash. Exactly, that's what I've always said. He had one of his worst defensive games yesterday though. Still think we should've got Gilbert. And, Kilworth started that Facebook group I think.

And, Kilworth started that Facebook group I think. oh well you cant win em all We definately should have got Gilbert and Im not convinced we should have got rid of Kisnorbo personally, though Im probably alone on that one!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 If Neilson messed something up and played like he did at Wembley in the playoffs, half of you would be the first ones to critisize him.
markbsac Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 not happy with this facebook thing...well out of order that......for christs sake hs wearing a leicester city shirt.........god knows what he will think if he sees that.......how to make an average player even worse.......come on people behave !
Ozwin Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 and Im not convinced we should have got rid of Kisnorbo personally, though Im probably alone on that one! Well it's easy to say that now. But yeah, would be nice now to have him around.
Suffolk_fox Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2482...0879&ref=mf ! I've joined that. Well then you sir are a pillock, along with all the others who have joined. Some 100 odd miles to the West of me, is a TEAM of players. They are a very tight unit. They will go through pain for each other. Some of them would have no doubt seen this and wondered what kind of shite hawk fans they are playing for, to be part of this backward group. The wall is just full of hate. From a bunch of illiterates, it would appear! I am quickly starting to think that we have among our number some of the best but certainly some of the worst fans in the country. Ashamed? You bloody should be. What total arseholes.
Koke Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 A lady I know who works at the club (something to do with the Academy lads but Im not saying what) was at the Christmas party and talking to Andy Kings Dad who was telling her how much the criticism King had been getting on the net had been getting to him and was playing on his mind, he was so relieved to score to get the negatives off his case for a while at least. Thought that was well out of order as well. Some of the bashing King got on here was really disheartening. This is why I don't like slagging off McG either. He's a young kid who is playing his first full season. He has never played at such a high level before, but he has received some right spankings on here since he joined. I'm not his biggest fan and I've been guilty of heavily criticising him, but the stuff written about him on here is well out of order. The older senior players like Brown and Neilson probably have a thicker skin and can handle the critics, but kids like King and McG are new to this pro game, and I hate to see young lads get their confidence shattered to pieces by supporters. It's uncalled for.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Well it's easy to say that now. But yeah, would be nice now to have him around. I always rated Kisnorbo very highly, and Mcauley.

He's dogshit) So stop going on and on, he's not good enough.
Sir Fynwy Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Shut up.Neilson is shite. End of (From viewing games, I don't go to many games no more but from what I've saw.. Zingari Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 He may not be very good in your opinion but anyone who signs up to a hate page for him on facebook is a moron. absolutely ; i really can't believe how incredibly stupid some people are at times !
lou Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Well it's easy to say that now. But yeah, would be nice now to have him around. I said it at the time too, not just now!
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 He may not be very good in your opinion but anyone who signs up to a hate page for him on facebook is a moron. Totally agree, really hope he doesn't use facebook and doesn't see it. The bloke tries his heart out for the team. We definately should have got Gilbert and Im not convinced we should have got rid of Kisnorbo personally, though Im probably alone on that one! Kisnorbo over Brown, yes. Kisnorbo over Hobbs and Morrison......not for me. And to be honest Kisnorbo deserves to be playing first team football rather than play second fiddle here.
