Dan Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 See what our fans in general would rather do at the football. Standing for me.
Dan Posted 12 January 2010 Author Posted 12 January 2010 No option for crouching? See for yourself. (Thats no, btw )
Edmund Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Well how do you plan to cater for us crouchbacks?
Dan Posted 12 January 2010 Author Posted 12 January 2010 Well how do you plan to cater for us crouchbacks? Stay at home
Fox You Forest Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Standing, with the occasional sit on the back of the seat until I come to terms with the opposition scoring. At Forest I spent most of my time sitting on the back of the seat.
Sir Fynwy Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Is this the first pointless poll of 2010 or have I missed some?
Dan Posted 12 January 2010 Author Posted 12 January 2010 Is this the first pointless poll of 2010 or have I missed some? This is number one. In-fact, the point behind this was to see if in general our fans prefer standing, and if they do, why is it that the majority sit at the majority of the away games?

In-fact, the point behind this was to see if in general our fans prefer standing, and if they do, why is it that the majority sit at the majority of the away games? I think you'll find most sit because of the availability of seats due to legislation, there is no point in having polls on standing as there is no chance of getting the legislation changed at present, we have the same old poll on a regular basis, someone might even merge this in with the rest or bin it.

Thats fair enough, but the majority of Newcastle's fans want to stand, and they all do, at every away game. Why aren't ours the same if the majority prefer standing?

Daggers Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I'll have Milan's seat while he's banged up at Ford Open.
Asha Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Why the criticism - What's actually wrong with this poll? I'm quite interested to see the results to be honest. Oh, and standing.
Sir Fynwy Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Why the criticism - What's actually wrong with this poll?I'm quite interested to see the results to be honest. Oh, and standing. Because it is aimed at a minority of fans, generates poor data and comes up every few months. Total waste of time.
BoneDog Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 It's all about the standing as long as your knees and back are still up to it. The problem is that some idiot decided to put seats on our terraces and ruin the fun we used to have.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Makes no difference for me, no real urge to stand but then again when we have on certain away games and the odd home game in the past it's been decent.
Shrenchel Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 This is number one. In-fact, the point behind this was to see if in general our fans prefer standing, and if they do, why is it that the majority sit at the majority of the away games? Am I going to different away games? 50% standing seems to be about norm imo. Can be more, can be less. Just depends where the bobble hat brigade get their seats really, can fvck it up. Unreserved seating helps. Because it is aimed at a minority of fans, generates poor data and comes up every few months. Total was of time. Don't read in then babes. Don't ever remember seeing a poll about it on here before.
Dan Posted 12 January 2010 Author Posted 12 January 2010 I think you'll find that foxestalk membership is not representative of the main body of travelling city fans so your data will be skewed. No, but I can guarantee it accounts for a high number of it, to be fair. As well, if the club is 50-50 on wanting to stand and sit, then I can't see all the standers being on this forum, and all the sitters not, it shouldn't make too much of a difference from reality. Am I going to different away games? 50% standing seems to be about norm imo. Can be more, can be less. Just depends where the bobble hat brigade get their seats really, can fvck it up. Unreserved seating helps. I don't know which aways you've been at then. I've been to Sheff Utd, Watford, Preston (in the cup), Coventry, Forest, Middlesbrough and S****horpe. Sheff Utd and Preston it was unreserved seating and was still made to sit, Watford we virtually all sat, Coventry I was fortunate enough to be back but one row, meaning I was in the 10% that stood (Thats embarrassing for a derby), Middlesbrough and S****horpe I was near the back and had to sit, and Forest we virtually all stood. It just seems that a majority of the fans want to stand, but it turns out a majority sits.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 We were at the back at Middlesbrough and stood, although there were only about 4/5 rows worth standing.
