Mock all you like my friend. At the end of the day we are a culture who moan with no action. It's called "The Great British Moan". http://www.myspace.com/mcwrec

I'm not mocking anything. I was alluding to the fact that a few people on here HAVE tried.

Personally I think the problem comes down to apathy amongst supporters (and the club) as a whole. For each fan that is passionate about standing there're 10 who just aren't that bothered.

Apologies, in hindsight my comment was silly but to be honest I'd forgotten about the singing/standing section campaign and thought nothing had been done.

Your latter point is probably spot on. It's most probably to late to change the persona of every supporter as they have come accustomed to the current matchday experience.

I vaguely remember hearing about that on here. Fair enough for trying, in fact, hats off to you lot for doing something you believe strongly in. At least your doing something constructive.

I still wouldn't give up though. At the end of the day you pay like any other fan so you'd think that your money is just as important to them.

Sadly home games don't feature too much for any of us nowadays, many have stopped going and whilst I make a few it's about getting my younger brother involved.

Here's the standupsitdown website if you wanted to have a flick through, see what occurs.

Going to Peterborough away last season showed my whats its like to stand up proper (not the 'ohh lets stand up and errrr, abuse the other fans and not watch the game at all' standing) and it's alright I suppose.

Yeah, that's why people stand.

Personally I don't mind sitting, but would rather stand. Managed to stand at quite a lot of the aways last season (excluding terraces).

I've always been seated at home games throughout my time supporting us, so I just get used to it.

Standing is my preference, think it does add to the atmosphere and looks great, especially on TV.

The poll is completely innacurate really because a lot of LCFC supporters over 50 won't use or even know how to use FT, and I'm sure they'd all vote sitting.

yes thats right everyone over 50 is unable to stand for 90 mins and brings a flask/cushion and blanket to football matches

Like Corky, I prefer to stand, but am not fussed if I have to sit, it is by no means the end of the world for me.

In my place at the WS, there are games where you'll get to stand all game, or for a half, or for a large section. Sometimes the stewards and people behind dictate whether I have to sit or if I can stand, but generally i'm not sitting down muttering under my breath how shite being on my seat is.

At the end of the day, sit, stand, kneel, crossed legs, so long as I get to watch Leicester play 90 minutes of football, I really don't give much of a rats.

I'm thinking of getting a flask, can anyone recommend a good one?

I would like to commend the Marks & Spencer pump action flask; Deadly coffee dispensing straight into the cap-contained cups.

Or Sainsburys do a smashing large plastic one which works well if holding Big Soup.

and crush??? anyone care to tell me the last time a 'crush' happened by fans standing in a seated area. theres sort of SEATS in the way to stop that from happening to be fair

the simple thing to do would be to sell 2 groups of tickets, one set for people who want to sit and one set for people who want to stand. the club could even advertise them as 'singing tickets' or some crap like that so they dont seem to be condoning standing in seated areas

but like its been said a million times, the club isnt interested in the type of fan who wants to stand up and sing, they'd prefer the stadium full of families, so its easier to control

In fairness, the last 'crush' I saw was Fulham away in the Carling Cup '08 and that wasn't toooo bad. Some guy got his glasses bent, a few ppl went flying down a couple of rows, but it wasn't life threatening.

Your second point is probably the most important though; you can't have standing sections (not least because of the Hillsboro' laws) because stadiums are all seater nowadays. Imagine the old surges? Now imagine the whole of the Kop is standing and now imagine people surging over the seats when we score? Not pretty... If you want standing and singing areas, you'd have to get rid of all the seats for that area first. I know we stand and sing in L and K, but that's only a few hundred, not a few thousand.

I'm not that fussed about sitting down, especially at home. If there's someone sitting behind me, I'll usually sit or if I REALLY want to stand, will just ask to swap. I'm not gonna be a disabled and block their view though, so would sit if necessary. Take Reading away this year, yeah the back third stood and the front third sat, but in the middle it was brilliant. Sit when you want, stand when you want (I've got terrible knees, can't stand for the full 90... I'm only in my early 20s n all...)

But yeah, its not gonna change at home and ultimately, its not that big a deal.

Fox92 do you have rickets or something? Most lads your age love standing, bit of banter and that. You come across like some middle-aged bobble hat.

Ive just realised... weve got it all wrong, 92 is his age, not the year he was born.

If you think that's a crush then, wow.

That's standard procedure at an away for us lot. Have some fun and enjoy the goal!

Well I thought if you'd be there, you'd already know. Thought the bottles of Becks being thrown in to the air and landing on those further forward was a bit harsh... I know how to enjoy a goal, thought that was maybe a bit too far? Not seen any flying beers at any of the aways I've been at since :dunno:
