Callabinho Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 Not to sure about other people’s views but I am looking forward to seeing Solano pull on the city jersey. If we just disregard his age for a second it is a valuable signing, I feel he may help link together the midfield with his experience and create a bit cohesion. I feel players like King and Dyer could learn from him on how to read the game his way. He used to be a quality player! I can remember watching him a couple of times and he reads the game like a book not to mention his set pieces and general crosses were always perfectly executed. Ok his legs possibly won’t have the energy they used to but however I just feel he will bring something to the team! As for the Newcastle a Solano debut will require the pack to be shuffled, any ideas on the team?
Ozwin Posted 28 January 2010 Posted 28 January 2010 I don't give a shit who plays, just as long as everyone's playing in a position they're tried and tested in. If Gallagher's on the wing again I'll cry. I reckon Pearson's gonna make some major changes after the poor form we've been in plus the fact we're playing Newcastle.

leicesterfox86 Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Anyone know why Colchester didn't offer Solano a contract? He trained with them for a few weeks.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 He'll have clearance. I'm looking forward to seeing him play, hopefully scores an amazing 40 yard free-kick in the 93rd Minute to win 1-0
Edmund Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 He was just on football league weekend. Had an extensive interview with him. Says he hopes to stay at the club for another year.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 He's got clearance. He can play. It's going to be good, that bit of class we need to push towards the playoffs. Powell's legs aint shot it yet, and Solano's got another 5 years till he reaches Powell's age.
The Doctor Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 He's got clearance. He can play. It's going to be good, that bit of class we need to push towards the playoffs. Powell's legs aint shot it yet, and Solano's got another 5 years till he reaches Powell's age. and seven after that before he reaches the age weller retired at/ 12 more before Sir Stanley Mathews. both of whom played when the physiotherapy standard + Pitches were worse than they are today and so most careers ended earlier than they would in the modern day.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 His first pass he gave it away! Though he did look quite god on the ball but to be honest we dont see much in 10 mins that he had.
