davieG Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 Jeez there's some right nit pickers in there, and fatbloke thinks I'm a moaning old git and how many of them know we're talking about football matches, seems like it's the last thing on the minds of many. I don't envy you Lisa and I admire your personal resolve to keep going to them.
Shrenchel Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 How do they choose who's part of it? Geniunely interested.
Head Honcho Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 So Andy King's a scruffy twat but who were the other two and what was so bad?
Guest Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 Ellen Bale sounds like a fvcking moron. Actually, she's a really nice lady. How do they choose who's part of it? Geniunely interested. They asked people to apply for it, then selected from those who wrote in. There have been a couple of members drop out, and they were replaced by those who expressed an interest in becoming a part of it. The minutes do have to be taken with a degree of <can't think of the word right now> as not everything that is said gets minuted. Or they only minute the general gist of what was said. I'm surprised that matchday music got as big a write up as it did. Obviously that wasn't the be all and end all, but it's been discussed at every single meeting, and the same things are said over and over again. They've stopped quoting me.

Alright she's a really nice lady who asks fvcking moronic questions. Fair enough. That's sounds about the least representative way possible to get feedback but I guess having it mainly comprised of jokers who think coffee cups and how smart the players looked at some two-bit awards ceremony are the important issues that need to be tackled suits the club down to the ground.

The problem being that when the FCC was set up, and they advertised in the programme and on the OS, and held an open meeting where the club told the fans who turned up what they wanted to do, this was the response that they got. If you, or anyone else for that matter, thinks that they should be on there, email Tom Bettles and tell him that you want to get involved. I assume that that's ok, as Peter Jones was ok with it!! Seriously, I've said it before and I'll say it again, certain age groups and demographics are under-represented. HH - can't remember who else turned up, but I think one was McGivern, who is only a loanee, and agreed to go at the last minute as well.
DeclanMC Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 This sounds like the sort of thing I could get into
Guest Mee-9 Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 ·EB asked if it was possible to sell black coffee in the correct size cup with a lid from the concourse kiosks. Bet she sits in the West Stand, Balls to the football, She takes more notice to coffee cup lids. ·SW asked what happened at the "125" Plymouth fixture as he thought it was a "dead squib - did he miss anything". Agree with this. It was nothing special. ·PJ felt that Paul Hing played the Post Horn Gallop well.JT advised that Paul was taught by Henry Shipley, he's been a fan for years and brings his young family to the game. I bet 90% of the Leicester City's support agrees with this. ·SR thought that the 3 players that attended the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards didn't have the right image in terms of their appearance What a nonce.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 I did not mean it when I said that we should follow Burnley's suit and offer free season tickets should we get promoted. I merely floated it about in the air. Makes it sound like he's taught me a right lesson there

Fox You Forest Posted 14 February 2010 Posted 14 February 2010 .AN advised that the club was thinking of entering a reserve league next season

Not everybody sitting in the West stand is 74 years old and takes a flask with hot soup to a game. I sit in the West stand, I am a season ticket holder in the Keith Weller Lounge because I choose to and can afford to, that doesn't mean I'm an old sod who doesn't now fack all about the club. In fact there is a whole section where I sit who are the orignal baby squad they've got to be in their 40's now. Get over yourselves. It just annoyes me the fact if you sit in the West Stand people on this site think you know nothing about football. Twat.
Shrenchel Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 Alright tony testicles, calm down. I'm sure if when you were back in the pens there was a stand that made absolutely no attempt to make any noise whatsoever you would have ripped the shit out of it. I'm sure the West Stand has some absolutely smashing characters and some right fvcking nutters in semi-retirement etc etc but let's be honest, it's an extremely fvcking embarrassing part of a pretty embarrassing ground and people are clearly gunna take the piss and associate a certain type of supporter with it.

The last season ticket I had was in the West Stand in the seat right next to the City dugout.
hairy Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 The last season ticket I had was in the West Stand Same Was in K block on Saturday and I am now converted. Knew far more people in there and people want to enjoy the game more.
Steven Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 I didn't know you were baby squad mate. Not I am not. In fact the only time I have ever been attacked at a Football game was by a group of Leicester fans on the way to Filbo. To be fair my dear departed granny could have done better.

I sit in the west stand, Couldn't agree more. The lad I go with had a season their last year and convinced me to move from SK1. (Big mistake) He said it's a better view, and he gives me a life down to the matches. To Tony Testicles I didn't suggest you know fook all about the club. I said that because she takes more note about the coffee cup lids, than the football, she probably is the type to sit near me. It's like at the newcastle game, all this lad and his dad spoke about was Call of duty. Not a word about the football. By the way, Note for next meeting Spot the mistake.
dimmerchant Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 By the way, Note for next meeting Spot the mistake. Hahahahahaha that's well funny! Not seen that before!
foxoffderby Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 I take all your points on board. I still goto some away games and enjoy the chanting and the banter, but I dont think I would ever sit in the kop areas at the Walkers. I think the view from my seat is pretty good I sit in the centre just above the dugout about 8 rows back. Back in the Filbo days the main stand was simililar to how it is now. But we weren't bothered if people from other stands made a noise or not as long as we enjoyed ourselves. It seems now people in the Kop areas want other areas of the ground to go mental etc. Its not going to happen. Im sure its the same at the Emirates or Pride Park etc too. There are a lot of families and old people in the West stand, and I just cant see them getting involved with chants etc. Some of you guys need to realise one day you'll get old too your priorties change and you may want to sit in the west stand as your not students anymore and some young 19 year old will say to you why dont you sing? Its not that bad in the west stand you might like it one day Tony.

You get a great view. Sorry if my comment's caused offence
