MrSpaM Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 would just like to thank the mindless thugs who can attack a mini bus full of six to ten year old forest fans throwing stones and beer at thier viechle well done the foxes You do realise the people in that mini bus were opening the door whilst it was driving along shouting insults at us and throwing glass bottles at us. If they were ten year olds, i dread to think what the rest of the ten year olds in your city are like, No wonder you get people being knifed every weekend.
David Guiza Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 The difference is between the 5-1 and the 3-0 is that they turned up for large periods of yesterdays game we didn't turn up at there place. I suppose it's not like Forest fans to be living in the past and talking about the 5-1 all over again.
Red in Leics Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 No excuses here, we lost fair and square. Thought it was pretty tight and dull first half we may have had a slight edge but second half as Davies has said your lot we're far more up for it. Cracking free kick, also really good atmosphere lots of noise from both sets. Not really looking forward to work on Monday but I dished it out after the game at ours so will have to take it on the chin. Play-offs are looking a cert for both teams, maybe more though I doubt it. Certainly would make for an interesting two games if we play each other. Cheers Red in Leics
leicester1993 Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Seriously if that doesn't get post of the year I'll go on strike or something... Me too!
Shipman Out Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 106) There not bothered about Leicester 107) They werent playing European "giants" Malmo
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 So wrong but so funny NOT FUNNY AT ALL!
Cobbo Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Post from a Forest fan on another forum: Right, I'm going to be very frank here. Before you say it, I'm not bitter Firstly, that was one of the most unpleasant afternoons I have ever experienced. Leicester fans must rank up there with some of the most irksome fans around. This is going on the MANY Leicester fans I know and am friends with and also the fact that I was surrounded by some of these numbskulls yesterday. A minutes applause was impeccably taken by our fans for the death of an ex-Fox who the majority of us had never heard of. Yet later in the game chants of "Brian Clough what a w****r" were chorusing around the place, with some mugs behind me very close to being swung at. It wasn't even just those teenagers in that chavvy L Block ( at them cutting up a Forest shirt and throwing it about btw). I was opposite them in A block and there were numbskulls singing it. Possibly the most moronic bunch of fans I have ever encountered. I have never heard such shit spouted at a football match as I have yesterday. I gave myself away as a Red midway through the second half and understandably had quite a few people around me tell me where to go, whilst getting a lot of stick as I walked out around 80 minutes in. But seriously, the cry of "sing when your winning" has never rung so true. It was like a morgue in that place (bar 2,500 fans tucked away in a corner of the ground), until your first goal. Oh and another point. This stadium that Forest are planning on building for the WC. I hope they take a look at the Walkers stadium and then build the complete opposite. I'd never been before and was expecting something better. Aesthetically a nice ground, but it generates no noise whatsoever as vocal fans seem to have nowhere to congregate. Onto the game. I think any Leicester fan will admit the score flattered them. I truly don't know what happened. The first 45 minutes were a non-event, with us taking control for the latter parts of the half. The second half we started of wellish with a lot of possession. Then it all went wrong. I've not seen the highlight but in the build up to that first goal when the freekick came in it looked like our player was pulled down by a Leicester lad. However, the fans around me were appealing for a penalty so maybe I'm wrong. Second goal was a class freekick and after that it was game over. The third goal, a horrible deflected goal, completed a thoroughly miserable afternoon. But the most painful thing about this defeat is the fact that Leicester looked about as average as we did all game. They never dominated. They were never on top. They took the lead through a scrappy goal then banged in a great freekick and suddenly that's game over. The scoreline makes it look like a mullering. The reaction from a lot of Leicester fans made it look like they'd won promotion playing the kind of football the Brazil would be proud of. It was a bad day at the office. Any other day it could have been us who scored that scrappy goal and taken it from there. That's football. We need to sort out this away form tbh, because I am beginning to get a foreboding feeling that only Forest can provide. I'm gonna maintain some perspective though. This season has been class. I would have been happy with staying up and ecstatic with the top half. The playoffs would've been unthinkable. I wouldn't be surprised to see us slip out of the playoffs now unless we can sort out our away form, which would be absoloutely gutting. But putting it into some relative context, we have to consider it a successful season, whatever happens from now.
woznotwos Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 104) I think they won two European Cups somewhere between the Ice Age and the Stone Age.105) They think that they are invincible because they play a bloke who looks like Marvin the Martian upfront. SPOT THE DIFFERENCE !! 106) Earnshaw ate 3 cooking apples through a tennis racket and felt poorly
dandannieldanok Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Post from a Forest fan on another forum: Yet later in the game chants of "Brian Clough what a w****r" were chorusing around the place That's sod all compared to some of the racist comments and chants I've heard from Forest fans at virtually every game I've been to between the two clubs in my life.
Cobbo Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 That's sod all compared to some of the racist comments and chants I've heard from Forest fans at virtually every game I've been to between the two clubs in my life. Yep. Fans are quick to jump on 'well they did this and are morons' when they are suffering from the bitterness of a battering. Which is why it amuses me that he said he was not bitter, when he clearly is. Along with the fact that we dicked all over them yesterday but they canny admit to that.
z-layrex Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 That's sod all compared to some of the racist comments and chants I've heard from Forest fans at virtually every game I've been to between the two clubs in my life. I read a post on their forum over that, songs about corner shops and stuff, that's absolutely disgusting, this is 2010 for christs sake.
Guest Bilo Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Any post that starts with the words 'I'm not bitter' will inevitably contain spectacular, hilarious bitterness and sour grapes. I don't agree with the Brian Clough chants but if the reports of racist chanting from the Forest fans were true, then I'm afraid their right to whinge is somewhat diminshed.
Corky Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Loved their "Hoofball" chants. I must've missed their silky, one-touch flowing moves that ripped us apart. Esepcially Morgan and Wilson.

Tommeh Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 When you've walked down the Trent after a game abandoned due to one of your players desperatly fighting for his life and 200 odd sing "same old Leicester, always cheating" and "town full of p*kis" at you I think this bunch of Red scummers deserve whatever moronic chants fly their way, Clough or not. Still on a monemental high after beating these Chelsea Dagger dancing ****wits.

He does say that at the start of the post.

Shrenchel Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 I love a good sing-song about Brian Clough me. He's being pretty fair about the sing we're winning bit though, atmosphere is often piss poor until we go ahead or at least look nailed on to score(home and away) and then people come on here and give the fans a ten. It's pretty laughable.

I thought yesterday it was pretty good for atmosphere, the acoustics of the stadium have always been shite though so if you're in a quiet area of the ground, you won't hear much singing.
