davieG Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Any idea what dates these will be? They've not been fixed other than they'll be between the 2nd May - end of season and the 22nd May - playoff final. http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/KeyDates/
davieG Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 1....2....3....4....5.....6....... Perhaps he was hoping to see Forest/Swansea games
davieG Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Thinking about the play-offs gives me a semi What even a Forest/Swansea game - you're easy to please, I bet the girlies love you.
Leicester Lass Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 From Jim: First leg is the weekend of 8th/9th May. Apparently to be played either 12:45 or 5:30. Second leg is 11th/12th May.
Shrenchel Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 12.45 can nosh my cock, lunchtimes always massacre the buzz.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Why would it be 12:45? Seems an odd time to kick-off for something so important and presumably live on T.V. too...
Shrenchel Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Why would it be 12:45? Seems an odd time to kick-off for something so important and presumably live on T.V. too... Answered your own question surely?! Sky will want all 6 play-off semis to be on at different times.
potter3 Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Why would it be 12:45? Seems an odd time to kick-off for something so important and presumably live on T.V. too... Aren't Premiership games often moved to a lunchtime kick off so that they can be on TV?
Ozwin Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 12.45 can nosh my cock, lunchtimes always massacre the buzz. It's the playoffs! You don't need a 3pm kick off to get hyped for it!
Shrenchel Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 That's what people said about Forest away and then it was morose as fvck from the off.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 12:45 pm = less beer drinking time. Less beer = less rowdy drunken supporters, Less rowdy drunken supporters = less atmosphere.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Answered your own question surely?! Sky will want all 6 play-off semis to be on at different times. So the games are played on the same day then? That would be why they'd be at those times then... Can't say I've actually taken much notice of play-off times before this year! Shocking!
Ford Super Sunday Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 So the games are played on the same day then? That would be why they'd be at those times then... Can't say I've actually taken much notice of play-off times before this year! Shocking! Last Years PO dates Thursday 10 May: League 2 first legs, both at 19:45 Friday 8 May: CCC & League 1, both kicked off at 19:45 Saturday 9 May: League 1 12:00 and CCC 17:15 Sunday 10 May: League 2 second legs, both at 18:00 Monday 11 May: CCC Tuesday 12 May: CCC Thursday 14 May: L1 Friday 15 May: L1 Last year had differing factors however. The Premier League season didn't finish until the 24th May, this year it will finish in the 9th May. So Sky may choose either to eliminate that day for matches, or put them on early at 12:00 and then later at 18:00. One thing is for sure, they'll definitely get our out of the way first, as we're the first play-off final this year, so those games could end up being on the Thursday and Friday. But with Sky you just never know
leicesterseddon Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Incidently, does anyone know whether the semi-finals will be on the Beeb or be snapped up by Sky? I heard that the BBC have rights to screen the PO final, but I'm not sure about the semis. To be honest I'll hopefully be going to both games anyway, but the channel may have an effect on when the games are played...

The Play-off final was put into package B, which Sky have. Package A, which the BBC have, said that they can have 10 CCC games and a leg of each play-off semi final in the CCC, but this was changed to give Sky exclusive access to the play-offs. I expect the BBC will have the highlights of the semi-finals and the Finals.
maddog Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 What time are the P3s getting to the TO for this one 4am, 5am

john_lcfc Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Assumng we get to the play offs, will season tickets be valid for the home leg? i take it no. and do you think the home leg will sell out, bare in mind it'll be expensive and on TV?

I'm pretty sure season tickets wont be valid. Hopefully, i'm wrong. Even though it'll be on tv, the attendance will be high.
Kilworthfox Posted 20 March 2010 Posted 20 March 2010 I'm pretty sure season tickets wont be valid. Hopefully, i'm wrong. Even though it'll be on tv, the attendance will be high. Season Tickets to the best of my recollection, never included a playoff game semi ticket. They did used to include a1st game league cup match ticket if we were at home. I naturally assume that if we make the playoff semis (which is highly likely) we will sell out!!!!!!
lcfcadam Posted 20 March 2010 Posted 20 March 2010 Very much doubt that higher prices and the fact that it's televised would make any difference - IF we managed to do it, I'm pretty sure it'd be a fast sell-out.
Candidcamera Posted 20 March 2010 Posted 20 March 2010 You will be surprised how quickly the tickets will go. There never was any substitute to attending a match of such importance.
