20th November 2004 - Championship

Leicester City 1-1 Rotherham United

Yet another draw, our fourth in a row but it was so nearly a defeat. We were trailing up until stoppage time when Joey Gudjonsson placed a close range shot in to grab us a point.

23rd November 2004 - Championship

Leeds United 1-2 Leicester City

Eventually a win and again another stoppage time goal. Pezzarossi put us ahead but it was soon cancelled out however a stoppage time David Connolly strike gave us a much needed win. We played very well tonight especially Walker and Williams.

27th November 2004 - Championship

Plymouth Argyle 0-4 Leicester City

A slaughtering and a superb display from us. Essediri, Pezzarossi, Connolly and De Vries got our goals in what proved to be a fantastic team performance.

4th December 2004 - Championship

Leicester City 2-0 Ipswich Town

Yet another win and our mediocre form now seems to be behind us. It was yet another top performance, our goals came from Pezzarossi in the 34th minute and Connolly in stoppage time.

11th December 2004 - Championship

Stoke City 1-2 Leicester City

Stoke lead the game until the 66th minute when Matthew Kilgallon headed in a corner to give us what looked like a point, however yet another stoppage time goal from David Connolly gave us a sensational victory. We have scored a stoppage time goal in every one of our last five games, my fitness and stamina based training must be paying off

14th December 2004 - Championship

Leicester City 2-0 Queens Park Rangers

Another good performance and another victory. Mark De Vries and David Connolly got our goals to notch up another three points.

18th December 2004 - Championship

Watford 1-3 Leicester City

We took the lead in this game through Mark De Vries but a 66th minute Helguson goal looked to have been enough to send us home with just a point but former Watford player David Connolly struck twice late on to snatch us the win. We now move up to 2nd after this amazing run.

26th December 2004 - Championship

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Leicester City

Our 12 game unbeaten run and our 6 wins in a row run both came to end in a miserable boxing day. It was a tight game but we really struggled to break Forest down and that meant Scott Dobies goal was enough to give them the win.

28th December 2004 - Championship

Leicester City 2-0 Burnley

A good solid victory that was much needed after the Forest defeat. Karim Essediri and Stephen Hughes both scored uncharacteristic headers to give us the victory that keeps us in 4th place.

1st January 2005 - Jose Manuel Mendoza signs from Coban Imperial for £250,000. He is a team mate of Pezzarossi in the Guatemalan national team and is a player with undoubted ability at such a young age.

1st January 2005 - Championship

Preston North End 1-3 Leicester City

We had this game won at half time after goals from Williams, Pezzarossi and De Vries. A very clynical display with Gareth Williams once again performing outstandingly.

3rd January 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 2-0 Gillingham

Jose Manual Mendoza made his full debut and what a debut! 10 out of 10 and a goal to show for it, the young Guatemalan left the Walkers Stadium in shock as he showed off his dribbling skills and mazey runs. Fellow Guatemalan Pezzarossi scored his 13th goal of the season to make things certain. Up next a FA Cup 3rd round tie at Anfield against Liverpool.

8th January 2005 - FA Cup 3rd Round

Liverpool 1-2 Leicester City

:D We snatched victory from under the noses of giants Liverpool to cause a shock and book our place in the 4th Round were we will face Ipswich. Liverpool dominated the first half and opened the scoring through Baros after a Tiatto howler. The second half was much the same with Liverpool far superior and creating great chances, we only had a couple of shots on goal. Until the 84th minute that is when a remarkable comeback took place, De Vries headed in from a Savolainen cross to silence and shock Anfield. Instead of protecting the draw we pushed forward even more and just when it looked like we would be replaying in Leicester a break forward saw Dwight Pezzarossi in acres of space, he took it round Dudek and gave us a historic victory. We are unstoppable it seems!

15th January 2005 Championship

Millwall 1-6 Leicester City

Things just get better, the best performance of the season without a doubt. As the player stats suggest it was a phenominal performance, especially from that man Mendoza who scored an amazing 5 goals! The majority were jaw dropping displays of dribbling and cool finishing. We certainly have a great player on our hands here. Unfortunatley we lose our two Guatemalan stars to international duty for a couple of weeks.

He's a star alright. He's been setting Danish football alight IRL. He's now at Werder Bremen and has made a few brief cameo appearances.

When at FC Midtjylland he was breathtaking. He literally played with defenders making a mockery of them (usually 3-4 in one go) and coolly slotting after rounding the keeper. He's got a bastard personality though. He's beaten his girlfriend up and is a bit of a thug.

He's never the best striker in the game though...I incidentally have him in my Leicester squad too :P

That Mendoza sounds/looks like one of FM's 'supertalents' a la Sigtorsson, To Madeira and the like. Hope he isn't as it would flaw your game a bit :ermm:

But well done on your great form, keep it up and get us up!! ^_^

I always sign Mendoza he is amazing he rips League One and The Championship apart.

He diffenatley exists in real life unlike To Madeira and his stats aren't that good all round, he is just own hell of a finisher and dribbler.

22nd January 2005 - FA Cup 4th Round

Ipswich Town 0-0 Leicester City

A very even and eventless game except for Mark De Vries sending off just before half time. Whoever wins the replay will play Forest in the 5th Round.

25th January 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 0-0 Sunderland

Another dull and even game that rightly ended in a goaless stalemate.

29th January 2005 - Championship

West Ham 2-1 Leicester City

Two Etherington goals sealed our fate despite a late David Connolly conselation goal. We seem to struggle against the better sides in this division and that could prove pivotal.

2nd February 2005 - FA Cup 4th Round Replay

Leicester City 3-0 Ipswich Town

The prolific boys from Guatemala returned to the team in some fashion, Mendoza grabbed a brace while Pezzarossi got the other goal to send us into the 5th round to face Forest. It was a great performance from us and we deserve to be in the final 16.

5th February 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 2-0 Wigan Athletic

A decent performance and a much needed win if we want to carry on the chase for automatic promotion. Mendoza and De Vries grabbed our goals that keep us in 3rd position, a point behind Derby in 2nd.

12th February 2005 - Championship

Reading 2-3 Leicester City

We led 3-0 at half time but a second half come back from Reading nearly caused a Liverpool-esqe shock. Jose Manual Mendoza got a brace while Mark Dew Vries got our third to keep up our promotion campaign

15th February 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 0-0 Sheffield United

We were the better side but we never really got into gear and a draw was a fair result in the end. Up the next the big FA Cup 5th Round game against Forest.

19th February 2005 - FA Cup 5th Round

Nottingham Forest 0-3 Leicester City

:D A superb performance to move into the quarter-finals and knock out Forest in the process. It was Mendoza who stole the show once more scoring a sublime hat-trick to get the national press talking about this wonder kid. Forest had John Curtis sent off, but that probably improved their team. We now face either Southampton or Middlesborough at the Walkers Stadium in the quarters.

23rd February 2005 - Championship

Cardiff City 0-2 Leicester City

Another good performance to beat 10 man Cardiff. Mendoza and De Vries got our goals.

26th February 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 1-1 Derby County

We only managed a draw against 3rd placed Derby despite taking the lead through Lionel Morgan after 63 mins, this was canceled out however just after 3 mins later by Tommy Smith.

5th March 2005 - Championship

Crewe Alexandra 1-4 Leicester City

Another hatrick for Leicesters Golden Guatemalan Jose Manuel Mendoza, once again he ripped apart another defence to give us another 3 points. Dwight Pezzarossi got our 4th.

8th March 2005 - Championship

Leicester City 2-2 Wolves

We only got a disapointing draw against leaders Wolves that moves us out the automatic places. We led twice after from two Mendoza goals but 79th minute Carl Cort goal made it all square. A good performance but not enough, up next the massive FA Cup Quarter Final against Southampton.

12th March 2005 - FA Cup Quarter Final

Leicester City 5-3 Southampton

:D One of the all time greatest FA Cup games ever. After 6 minutes we were remarkabley 2-0 up after two wonder goals from Mendoza to send the Walkers Stadium into hysteria. After 19 minutes things were even better after Dion Dublin scored from the spot and it was 4-0 just before half time when Mendoza got his hat trick (23 goals in 13 games for him now!). 4-0 at half time and it looked certain we were into the Semis but 2 Henri Camara goals midway through the second-half put Southampton back in the game. However a 74th min Gareth Williams strike made it 5-2 and a late conselation goal for Southampton made it 5-3. What a game! We are now through to the Semi Final of the FA Cup, who would of thought it. We will play either Man Utd, Blackburn, Chelsea, Fulham or West Ham.

Posted

14th March 2005 - The FA Cup Semi Final draw has been made, both games will be played at

Leicester City vs West Ham United

Man Utd or Blackburn vs Fulham or Chelsea

Well well well, a Championship side will definatley make it into the FA Cup Final. West Ham knocked out Arsenal in the last round so it will be a very tough game, but it will be a great event and we have a real chance!

CITY FOR THE CUP!

Bloody hell, that Mendoza guy ain't half bad!!

I'm gonna have to start playing on a larger database!!

116564

I knew he would be good but not this good! He wins games for us single handedly, if you play so he recieves the ball often he will waltz round defences like they aren't there and bang them in.

Posted
Who did Mendoza play for? What size database do i need for him?

116602

I had a look last night and I have him and I'm playing a normal database.

Can't remember who he played for though, just do a search.
