JoeyB Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Did anyone catch what brown said at the end of the game when he had a go at the leicester fans? Well it looked like he had a go anyway.
shiv Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Did anyone catch what brown said at the end of the game when he had a go at the leicester fans? Well it looked like he had a go anyway. I saw that, and I'm sure he was swearing at some Leicester fans which is not on as far as I'm concerned. For somebody who is as experienced as he is, he should understand the fans frustration. Absolute disgrace.
calum_lcfc Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 In the Oakley thread they are saying he called City fans wankers, which looked the case, I paied £30 to watch that old, ugly, shit man today and he calls us a willy puller for it. fook off to a shit a league one team.
JoeyB Posted 27 March 2010 Author Posted 27 March 2010 well if he did swear at the leicester fans he can fook off, after a shoddy performance from him at forest and his same old hoof ball passes were better off without him with morrison and hobbs playing cb's
Donut Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Other people noticed it too, i literally thought i was the only one. I tried to point it out to my mate When he came over to the fans behind the goal, he CLEARLY mouthed a series of obscenities in the direction of the leicester fans. Quite frankly, when people have paid a lot of money to attend the game today and witness such a lukewarm performance against such a fierce rival, i think they are justified in expecting more. I also think Brown should keep himself to himself. He already has criticised the fans level of support and seems to me to be a character to happily place criticism on team mates but not share the criticism himself (the numerous times he berates a player on the pitch when it is HIS mistake for instance; the forest away game where he criticised team mates but didnt question himself). I was towards the left corner flag. I would just love a lip-reader to settle this one
Rich Fox Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Wayne Brown should never be a professional footballer he cannot pass wind and he will drag us down to league 1 if we keep playing him, he should be slaughtered if he ever wears our shirt again. Surely Nigel must see he aint good enough. Perhaps he could take that tosspot oakley with him and go to hell.
flanimal Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 We have no other defenders to play centre. Morrison, Hobbs, Brown. He's certain to be sub, since Bruce and Tunchev are injured. Don't rate Brown.
lcfcsam Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 If true, he can fook off to another club with the level of support which meets his standards. Couldn't make it down today but have been to most away’s this year and countless others over the years, and while our home support might be average at best; our away support is normally fantastic. To take that many to Derby, most having to pay an (extortionate) £30 to watch their team they have the right to boo, even if I'd never boo myself. We can easily cope with Morrison and Hobbs in defence. That said, despite his poor distribution, he has been a rock at times in defence this year and a player who I've always stuck up for but if this did happen; there’s no place for him in my team anymore.
flanimal Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Good in the air, and he's not all bad, but if you're get booed, gotta accept there may be a point. He must know he played shit.
Joe. Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Seems a little odd to me if he did. It's hardly like he gets abused on a regular basis by our own fans, I could perhaps understand it then. Nobody really needs it at this stage of the season, much like we don't need bellends in the crowd getting ahead of themselves with the play-offs. Some of the stuff I was hearing today was unbelievable, we really do have a fickle bunch.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I remember at QPR when after the game he came over and shared his joy with our fans, literally screaming with hapiness and we loved it. This is really sad to hear though. It can be moronic to boo but to swear at some of your on fans is literally completely beyond belief! What the hell must he have been thinking? Its one thing to have a go in the media saying our fans aren't loud enough, fair enough, I agree. It's another thing to confront the fans in a controlled manner and if some of the fans did boo then just explain to them they are out of order, but swearing to his own fans?? Fool, absolute fool.
sdb Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 bloody hell it's all crumbling what a twat if so, although i can only assume he was taking a lot of abuse from our lot??
Gaffer Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 bloody hell it's all crumbling what a twat if so, although i can only assume he was taking a lot of abuse from our lot?? He had a poor game like many in the team today. He did get some stick, maybe he was defending his captain, but overall he wasn't the one who paid £30 to watch that shower of shite.
leftsideoverhere Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I'm not going to repeat my rambling crap from the Oakley thread. Suffice to say WB wasn't best pleased by the Leicester fans who booed their own captain off the pitch. Perhaps the people demanding he be dropped for showing some emotion could have a word with those moaning about how none of our players are showing any fight, and work out what the fook we do want?
Matt Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Didn't people want passion? Harsh if he has gone off on one and sworn at our own fans, but people asked for passion... Exactly celebrating when we win well, being extremely pissed off when we lose with our 'fans' getting on the players backs, booing their captain, after we've had (No mater what happens) a great season. pas·sion (pshn) n. 1. A powerful emotion, such as love, joy, hatred, or anger. Passion; a strong feeling or emotion heat: the trait of being intensely emotional rage: something that is desired intensely; "his rage for fame destroyed him" mania: an irrational but irresistible motive for a belief or action

If I was to have a go at the people who paid my wages, I'd be out of a job, no matter how heartfelt and protective of my team mates it was. And let's face it, those who are saying he was sticking up for Oakley - he had a veiled go at the fans in midweek and he's gone over the top here. The guy's a tool.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I was disgraced by it. I will be singing your not fit to wear the shirt next game. Pile of steamin horse shit.
milan_foxes Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 He definetly said it, "FOX off you bunch of WALKERS"

The club does, they just use our money to do it. The closest to the analogy you're trying to use, ironically, is that Oakley is WB's line manager, as captain, and far from hurling abuse at him, WB took on those in the following who, he felt, had been out of order in booing the boss. Bottom line is - WB's got a point. We should be dancing in the aisles given our performance this season (although the Walkers Stadium stewards would have apoplexy if we tried) but instead we're fighting amongst ourselves. We're behaving like Covscum.
ousefox Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 If true he can fook off. I know fans can be frustrating at times for the players but to swear at your own supporters is ridiculous.
dandannieldanok Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 What a pr*ck if it's true, shows he has little mental capacity if he can't deal with a few fans giving it some. Take up knitting or something Wayne if you can't hack it.

We're behaving like Covscum. Disagree entirely. Say you worked in a shop and you called a customer a willy puller. The customer indirectly pays a clerk's wages. The clerk would be sacked. End of. And this is before you go into the intricacies of the footballer/supporter relationship. We give up 90 minutes a week to watch, even idolise him. He's an experienced pro, he shouldn't be doing that. I can not believe that anybody is standing up for him, IF this is true. Even if some fans did boo, he can't slag us off. NEVER. Regardless of how well the team has done. That is an unwritten clause in a contract you sign as a professional footballer.
Donut Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 My take on the whole thing is: You dont need to go thundering round making huge tackles, giving away fouls and mindlessly shouting at everyone to show passion. Passion is giving effort to the team in a positive way and contributing to good progressive football, and not shirking your duties on the pitch. Wayne Brown comes across as a player quick to criticise. In terms of the performance he gave today, it was clearly well below the standard needed on a weekly basis in the championship he should not, justified or not, believe he is above criticism especially if he is to criticise us in the media
gazzer Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 probably reads this board and knows most people don't agree with his high opinion of himself
Ozwin Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Wow, just found this out. What a disgrace if true. People paid £30+ for this game and expect better against a local rival. If you give a half arsed performance against Derby in a Leicester shirt then you deserve a bit of stick from the people who've been looking forward to it all week. We don't all get paid 10k a week or whatever he's on so he can go **** himself if he thinks he can react like that to the teams fans. Ugh, what a nob head.
