Babylon Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 If Wayne Brown can question our passion in the stands to the press We can question wayne browns passion on the pitch from the stands! If the fans can give him a load of pointless abuse, he can give it back to them. Fair play to him.
hackneyfox Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 We have the quietest fans in the league, unless we're abusing McGivern, Oakley or Brown. Perhaps we should enjoy the fact that we're still in a play-off position and actually start singing and supporting the team.

Perhaps we should enjoy the fact that we're still in a play-off position and actually start singing and supporting the team. From my position in the East stand I though a substantial group of our fans were fractious and looking for an excuse to get after our players. Oakley and Brown bore the brunt of this and although I was a fair distance from our support I thought it was a poor show. No offense intended to those who did try and support the team... Getting after your own players during a game is simply not acceptable in my eyes. Booing the team after a particularly poor performance, maybe... but picking on individual players is disgraceful and even worse, counter-productive. I did not see the Brown incident at the end but if he had a go at some of our 'disabled' supporters then good for him.
breadandcheese Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 I'm not really sure what Brown did wrong. Some of our supporters are useless and need to be told. If they're shouting needless abuse at him, flicking the V's, then he is within his right to have a go. Let's be clear here, Derby very rarely looked like scoring, so he did his job. The abuse he got was therefore uncalled for.
James. Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 Funny that a lot of fans wouldn't think twice about calling any of our players wankers but then as soon as the tables are turned they get all sensitive and call it an outrage. Not surprised though, we've had nobs in our support for ages (as I'm sure have pretty much every club in the country).
Corky Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 gladly take the abuse for his weekly wage He has taken the abuse, and given some back.
flanimal Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 We have the quietest fans in the league, unless we're abusing McGivern, Oakley or Brown. Hah. So true. Do fans really think that booing makes your players play better? Or feel more committed to the club? It's so ridiculous. McGivern may not be that good, but booing the guy is unacceptable. I feel embarrassed when the crowd does that, because I don't want to be associated with that kind of bullshit. If your teams get's thrashed 5-1 to Nottingham Forest like earlier in the season, a booing is alright, but to single out individuals and make them a scapegoat and focus for abuse is pathetic.
