THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 I could dance with Wayne and the Gang till the cows come home. On second thoughts I'd rather dance with the cows till Wayne and the gang make up for that shoddy performance and pi..pi..pi..pick me up three points against cardiff. Please Wayne
Guest Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 NOTHING gives you the right to call your own fans 'a bunch of wankers' ****** or not. What if he's right, though?
fatmando Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 If a group of our away support were giving him some proper abuse when he'd only come over to acknowledge the away support as a whole and if his swearing was aimed at just that group, then that's forgivable imo. Is this what happened?
lavrentis Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 He definetly said it, "FOX off you bunch of WALKERS" 3 pages back but awful. Why can't I negative rep?
lcfcadam Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Everyone seems to think that if you get pissed off, berate the players and flick them V's because they've just played one crap game, that constitutes being a pathetic, 'fickle' supporter or whatever... In reality, you're all forgetting that most of what the fans do at games is based entirely on passion and emotion - if that carries on days after the game (such as the constant moaning about Mcgivern etc), then THAT'S being fickle and idiotic. But to get angry with the players for a few minutes after paying your money and going to a match to see a rubbish performance? That's just natural, and there's nothing wrong with it.

With all of this talk about Brown, I'd forgotten how shit McGivern is.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 I'm not saying any of you are lying but as I didnt see it I cant say I believe he would swear. But if he did, then he can go. There is no excuse for it at all.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 I didn't see this, I must have missed this when I was 'waving' to the fat bloke in the Derby end to the left of us. If true (and it seems to be the case) WB can fook right off. I've kept my opinions to myself regarding his performances etc. But enough is enough. Having a pop at our vocal support is one thing but this is truly astonishing as far as I'm concerned. If you gave us something to shout about, we would! For example, the game against Newcastle stands out as a decent performance from the players. Stands to reason that we the fans regard that as one of the better atmospheres we've had this season. When we went down to 10 men the players responded by playing out of their skin. They even ran the show for decent periods of the game and were unlucky not to win. The fans were bloody brilliant for that game. Bottom line, SHOW SOME PASSION, DETERMINATION, GRIT, SOME HEART AND ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE YOU WANT TO PLAY FOR THE SHIRT we'll back you to the hilt. Carry on with your half-hearted, lackluster and lethargic performances you will get the same level of support we're giving now (which I didn't think was too bad on Sat - given the shite performance, and recent performances). EDIT: We've had a great season so far and no matter where we finish, most, if not all City fans will agree that we have exceeded expectations. So lets carry on supporting our team, and hope to God they respond.

Mikey Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Mate e-mailed the club in complaint. Please say thats a joke?

I am scratching my head here because I am sure Wayne Brown did his primary aim yesterday which was not allow a Derby player to score. So he comes over to applaud the support for coming....(and putting up with a poor performance [given the actual lack of support yesterday - probably wasn't deserved]) and he gets abuse. Whose worse then: Brown who comes over....or the likes of Wellens who very rarely claps the support? It was foolish and daft. In fact a bit idiotic but I personally feel Brown's actions were heat of the moment and whoever in our support did it was probably planned to a point.
flanimal Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Please say thats a joke? Like how that idiot complained to the Club about swearing in the kop and got free tickets. Muppets.
C-man Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Whose worse then: Brown who comes over....or the likes of Wellens who very rarely claps the support? What?! Wellens doesn't clap the fans??!!111 But they pay like £30.. I'm going to file a written complaint to the club. How dare he not fulfill their RIGHT to be applauded for sitting on their hands in silence. Outrageous.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Trying desperately to think of more things that are specifically 'brown at the end' Best I can think of is a banana dipped in melted chocolate. Who likes bananas?
Legend_in_blue Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Fans shouldn't be giving the V's at any Leicester player, no matter how bad the performance. However, WB is a professional and he shouldn't have done what he did either. End of the day, those fans who acted in such stupidity will just walk away, WB on the other hand can't. How he goes about it will be interesting. Through the media, on the pitch... in whatever manner he chooses, I just keep it doesn't rock the boat more than it is for an important run-in of games. This is about more than one player.
Matt Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Mate e-mailed the club in complaint. Tell your mate from me (And probably many other people) he's a twat. Oh no, actually don't bother he might e-mail the club and try and ban me from going.
Dan Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 He's not looking for any sort of sympathy but I think its more that he wants an apology and a serious change in attitude, my guess anyway.
AoWW Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 He's not looking for any sort of sympathy but I think its more that he wants an apology and a serious change in attitude, my guess anyway. Perhaps nights out at the theatre or choral recitals would suit him more than football games?
Dan Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Perhaps nights out at the theatre or choral recitals would suit him more than football games? No, you've all got the wrong end of it. He's a die hard, proper fan, can't stand sitting, sings all game etc... Was just this angered him, he doesn't give two shits about hearing swear words, he prefers hearing swearing rather than not. He's just angered by Brown and his attitude, and wants the coaching staff to know about this, thats what I know anyway.
Maybes Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010  Emailing the club. Brilliant. Whatever next.
Salieri Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 If that e-mail doesn't result in the very least a severe reprimand and a hefty fine for Mr. Brown then i think i will lose all faith in Leicester City Football Club. <_<
lcfc_sam_p Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Some of you lot need to step down of your high horses & wake up a little bit. Nobody forced any of you to pay £30 to go to Derby today. You made that choice. The result was going to either be a win, draw or loss. If you've deluded yourself into thinking that a win is guaranteed against an in form at home team like Derby then you've got nobody to blame but yourself for the disappointment you've suffered. I hardly doubt at this point in the season that any of our players are taking it easy. Possible promotion to the premiership is within reach, which is a pinnacle point in any players career. They're hardly going to think 'Ah right, let's go out & chill today lads, we've got it in the bag'. They want to be in a Premiership promoted team more than you want them to be, I bet. It's quite likely that our fairly young & inexperienced team are suffering from a bit of tiredness & possibly, just maybe, they're feeling the pressure a little bit? Doesn't that occur to some of you? Also, you all moan about how little passion the players show & when someone finally does show some, you have a cry about that too. Wayne Brown has played a massive part in seeing us to 4/5th position, as has Matt Oakley. I can understand him being upset when our fans have boo'd Oakley. Jesus Christ, how is boo'ing the team any better than him swearing at the fans? It's fooking not. Oakley isn't the best midfielder in the league, but he must be doing something right to have helped us get to where we are. Look at it realistically. We're 5th. A position we'd have all been MORE than happy with at the start of the season. A huge amount of you still have nothing better to do than belittle the team on here & boo them at the game. Anyone who can't understand why that would upset a player, is a complete moron. Get real for fook sake. Spot on, well done mate. You give stick you have got to be prepared to take it. Booing the team, getting on their backs, and giving them stick is embarassing tbh. You give stick about his performance well he gave stick back about your support, and rightly so. And all this about him criticising how loud we are at home. Well we arent loud? Most of us are too busy booing players and havin a go at the team. Also singing 'your not fit to wear the shirt' etc, please dont turn up to the game
