BoneDog Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Sexton withdraws out of Williams fight Just out of interest, are Sam Sexton and Ashley Sexton related? Sad news for Sexton. I don't think the Sextons are brothers, they could be cousins, but can't find anything online about it. Khan wants to marry Cheryl Cole Mr Lover Lover!
Edmund Posted 9 May 2010 Author Posted 9 May 2010 Seen this briefly on ss news, looked crazy Bizarre Win For Williams
Matt Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Anyone know why the Khan fight is on ITV tonight? Not that i'm complaining but I thought he had a contract with SBO and had to have his fights on SBO? Only just found out its on ITV, I was saying I wasn't going to buy the fight, 1 i'm not biggest Khan fans anyway and 2 i've bought 3 of Khan's fights on SBO and they've all ended early (1 early KO for Khan and 2 early KO's by Khan) they are just not value for money but as it's on ITV might stay up for it, i'll see. I always want Khan to win dispite saying i'm not his biggest fan but would really like to see a good fight and really hope Khan KO's Mallignaggi tonight, he really is such a twat.
Kilworthfox Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 KING KHAN You can keep Kahn, its all about Kevin Mitchell tonight
Edmund Posted 15 May 2010 Author Posted 15 May 2010 Anyone watching the Williams V Chisora fight starting now on SS1? The venue looks quality, open air boxing at Upton Park. Mitchell v Katsidis on later.
Edmund Posted 15 May 2010 Author Posted 15 May 2010 Chisora won via KO in the 2nd round. Most probably Williams last major fight. Sad way to go really after such a promising career which never really materalised.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Upton Park suits a venue for boxing superbly. Should be a real buzzing atmosphere come time for local boy Mitchell.
Matt Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Enjoyed the James DeGale fight, never really watched him fight before but impressed, he was abit cocky, and things to work on for him but on a whole quite like him.
BoneDog Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 It's been entertaining so far and this next fight should be excellent ! James DeGale has some hard shots on him! Also sad to see Danny retiring but it's defo time for it. Great venue aswell, loved the daylight boxing.
Maybes Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Katsidis fighted superbly I thought. LIke Matt says he outclassed Mitchell.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Mitchell was unlucky, was clearly outclassing him but bam, one good punch from a brawling Katsidis and it's goodnight. Bit of a shame but never mind, don't think it's the last we will see of him.
Samilktray Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Routine victory for Khan. He really is becoming a very good boxer now.
FoxyPV Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Glad Khan won as Mallignaggi is such a twat he makes Chopra look like someone you'd want to have a pint with.
BoneDog Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Did anyone watch Prizefighter last night? I caught Josh Wale v Willie Casey in the semis I think it was. That was a great fight, but I never got to see any of the others.

Matt Posted 23 August 2010 Posted 23 August 2010 Audley Harrison has called on David Haye to 'man up' and fight him in November after claiming he had agreed to terms of a deal from the Hayemaker.A possible world heavyweight title fight could be on the cards for November, in a 'Battle of Britain' encounter between Haye and Harrison - according to the former Olympic champion. Harrison and his promoter, Matchroom Sport managing director Eddie Hearn, have been locked in talks with Adam Booth over the past weeks, with a potential fight scheduled to take place on November 13 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Both parties have now agreed terms but Haye is yet to sign and Harrison has sent a message out to the world champion, telling him to put pen to paper on what would be a huge fight. Haye has been publically calling out the Klitschko brothers, but as yet no deal has been signed with either and both of them have blasted the British fighter. Called out Harrison has now joined that bandwagon and says he is the only man who can make Haye as much money as a Klitschko - and pulled no punches in calling for the fight. "I'm about as bored as every other fight fan about hearing why you won't accept fights, what are we in this game for?" said Harrison. "I say to try and win titles and create a legacy but if it's money you want then outside of the Klitschko fight I'm the only guy that makes you money. I am accepting the terms you have offered me and now we will see what you are made of. "So let's stop with the bull******ng, man up and get this fight signed. So bring on the Battle of Britain and I will be the Hayebreaker come November 13th." Challenge Harrison put the wheels in motion for the clash with Haye in June when he vacated the European belt he won in spectacular fashion with a stunning last gasp knockout of Michael Sprott in April. The 38 year-old is now gunning for a fight with former friend Haye, with Eddie Hearn revealing that tensions between the pair were high after Haye delivered a snub to Harrison by refusing to put him on the undercard of one his shows after Harrison had helped Haye at the start of his career. "The hard work is done and now it's up to Haye and Booth," said Hearn. "We are at the end of the line now, everything is in place and now it's up to them. "This is a £10 million fight and the biggest the country has ever seen, but more than that it's personal between them - there will be no love lost in the ring if we get this signed." Audrey's gonna get murdered, surely?
Matt Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Evander Holyfield wants to fight heavyweight champions David Haye and Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.Holyfield, a former heavyweight champ who turns 48 next month, defends his lightly regarded WBF title against Sherman Williams (34-11-2, 19 KOs) on Nov. 5 in Detroit. He won the belt in April by stopping 41-year-old Francois Botha in the eighth round. But Holyfield lost on points to Nikolay Valuev and Sultan Ibragimov in his previous two fights. Haye has since taken Valuev's WBA belt and Wladimir Klitschko has won Ibragimov's WBO title, and Holyfield said Wednesday he now has those two fighters in his sights. "I'm looking at both the Klitschko brothers and David Haye. I want to fight the people with the titles. My people have talked with the older Klitschko brother (Vitali) and his manager," Holyfield said of the WBC holder. "But right now everybody's busy with fights. "The only thing that attracts them is that if they want a big pay day, they have got to fight somebody that the people know. I'm still the most popular heavyweight that is fighting. It's obvious that if they felt I was an easy fight, they would go ahead and fight me. But they realize they don't want to get duked by the old man. But if they want to make money, I'm the guy they need to fight."
