MPH Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Vitali Klitschko v Solis tonight on Sky Sports 1. Was going out tonight but 90 minute's during this afternoon turned my mood very sour, think it's best I stay in and watch this now. It was enough to send me over the edge. Not spent time with the wife all day. A slim and quick Solis would stand a chance tonight..... put on a few pounds last few fights and its slowed him down no end...
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Anybody got boxing on Primetime tonight? Rendall Munroe soon and then Khan McCloskey. Craig Watson's entry music just. Saw him warming up and wondered what tune he was gonna have, then it went quiet and...."I TOLD YOU HOMEBOY....Music hits me so hard....makes me say O MY LORD". Classic Hammer.
Matt Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 When's Rendall fighting? Not really interested in the Khan fights, not a huge fan of him, and after being stung 2 or 3 times with Khan fights and feeling 'short-changed' for buying his fights on PPV and being ended within 1 or 2 rounds either way I swore never to buy another one of his PPV's, If I was bothered about a Khan fight i'd try and find it on the net instead. I was actually tempted to buy it tonight for the Rendall fight but still a waste on money, so hopefully can find a stream on the net
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 It's starting now pal. I'm shitting, want Rendall to win so much.
Matt Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 http://www.flysfooty.moonfruit.com/ That was a great stream, gone offline now though!
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 This is very close and nervy. 2 rounds to go and Munroe is probably ahead but it's hard to tell. I gave up trying to score after round 4.

BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 HIGH FIVE Rendall wins by unanimous decision! Nothing spectacular but a good performance.
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Munroe's doing well but getting caught abit too easy for me. Yeah my heart was in my mouth a few times but he looked comfortable overall.
Matt Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Get in Rendall! See you in a few week coming round the pitch with your belt! Hopefully with Mark Selby after he wins the World Snooker Championship
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Just been out to get psyched up for this one. Usual routine
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 That uppercut might of dropped Khan if it connected!
BoneDog Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Uckin Ell Over from an accidental clash of heads. McCloskey cut above the eye. Gone to scorecards. The cut doesn't look too bad so not sure if it should have been stopped. Barry Hearn's fuming. The cut looks in pretty good shape to be honest. I've seen fights carry on with worse cuts so McCloskey will rightly feel robbed. I feel a bit ripped off aswell to be honest. It was a good fight til then. Khan wins on points halfway through the fight. Edit number 4 : The ref and doctor got it wrong there. 30 seconds left of the round left and just seen the cut close-up, ridiculous decision.
zubi Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 I didn't see the fight, heard it was a lucky win for Khan though. How was the fight in general?
BoneDog Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 I didn't see the fight, heard it was a lucky win for Khan though. How was the fight in general? It was entertaining and turning into a good fight. I would say that Khan won all 6 rounds on points so McCloskey would have probably needed to KO him to win but he went close to catching Khan with some big shots so you never know how it would have panned out. Khan was extremely fast and powerful but McCloskey was doing a good job of ducking and dodging the really threatening shots and kept coming back with something. As for the decision to stop, what with my suspicious mind, thoughts of corruption creeped into my head! It was quite a shocking decision especially as it was a world title fight. I love watching Khan though so I'm happy for him that he won, I just think McCloskey was robbed of this chance at the title by the doc and ref. The corner could have easily sorted that cut out at the end of the round from what I saw on the tv. It might have got worse pretty sharpish but we'll never know now.
Matt Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Nice night of Boxing tonight! Got the International Heavyweight Prizefighters (Took me a while to get into the prizefighter competitions and people slag them off but I quite enjoy them now) then from 2am (If I can stay awake) Manny Paquiao v Shane Mosley, then Paquiao might be looking to a November fight with Floyd Mayweather hopefully
