Zingari Posted 10 December 2010 Posted 10 December 2010 Amir Khan's got a shit Bolton accent mixed in with smattering of Ali G , that's what I cannae stand
Edmund Posted 10 December 2010 Author Posted 10 December 2010 I'd never pay for a Amir khan fight. Either way it wont go past the second round. Hardly an exciting boxer.
lildave3 Posted 11 December 2010 Posted 11 December 2010 The news about Chisora has made my mind up, I won't be buying it.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Khan put the Prescott defeat to bed today. VMaidana v Khan 2 will definately get a lot of attention if they get it going. Roach and Ariza are outstanding trainers. One of the best fights I've seen in a long time.
BoneDog Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Holy crap that was one of the best fights I've ever seen. It was emotional! We knew Khan had awesome skills like the accuracy, speed and power that he has always shown, but now we know that he has a real tough chin and a warriors heart. I just watched the replay 'cos I couldn't keep awake last night and was real nervous watching it as Khan always makes his fans nervous with the risks he sometimes takes and there were plenty of those moments in this one. Well dodgy but he loves it! I don't know how Khan got through that 10th round, I thought it was over and the last 90 seconds of that round went so slow. He took about 20 shots that would have KO'd most other fighters. Not sure how he didn't get dropped but that made it all the more respectable. He's definitely cracked America after that performance! Loved the interview afterwards, Khans voice had changed a bit because of the bost mouth and nose. Hats off to Maidana aswell 'cos he did everything he could and was also excellent and took alot of punishment too. He must feel himself a bit unlucky that he didn't knock Khan out with some of those punches.
Raj Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Dont seem to understand peoples negativity towards Khan. Seems like a decent down to earth Bolton Lad and a very very good young boxer who may do alot in the World boxing scene. Doenst tend to dodge opponents either unlike some so called Champions!
BoneDog Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Just watching this for the second time (on round 8 now) and Khan has taken an unbelievable amount of massive shots. The chin debate has been officially put to bed. Maidana has took a similar amount of massive shots but his chin wasn't in question (never been stopped I think). When he was dropped with the two body shots in round 1 it looked over there and then. Ridiculously good fight! If anyone hasn't seen this I'd look for a torrent if there is one. Well worth it.
BoneDog Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 Rounds 10, 11, 12 and when Khan gets lifted on shoulders with the belt is stuff dreams are made of.

Well worth it. it really was an excellent fight... i started to get a very sick feeling when he took that punch near the start of the 10th round and when i looked and saw how much was left of the round my heart sank. How he got through that i will never know.. A truly classic fight from two top fighters. Khan did enough in the early to middle of the fight and that knockdown proved telling on one of the judges score cards..

Round 10 the most but I think round 6 was another one where Khan looked close to being dropped aswell. He's got to be so strong to get through that! Anyone got a link for the fight? There is a torrent out now here My link Not sure if you use them or not but I got the Hatton Pacquiao fight from there and it worked fine. There is a site somewhere that puts fights up, when I can remember which site it is I'll have a look.

ScouseFox Posted 12 December 2010 Posted 12 December 2010 That combination from Khan at the end of the 12th, after about 8 minutes of being hit hard, had me out of my seat, emotional and sensational from Khan
MPH Posted 13 December 2010 Posted 13 December 2010 I'm not a fan of using Torrents but if you could find the website that would be smashing I watched a replay of it on justin.tv yesterday... check there....

purpleronnie Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Just watched it. One of the best fights I've seen in a long time, great courage from both boxers.
Zingari Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Amir Khan, suspected brain damage !!!! http://www.metro.co.uk/showbiz/837688-katie-price-cosies-up-to-amir-khan-at-expendables-premiere
James. Posted 21 December 2010 Posted 21 December 2010 Holy fuck. I just got round to watching the Khan fight. Absolutely exceptional.
BoneDog Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Has anyone seen Ringside this week? It's worth watching if it's on again soon. Not sure if this is a repeat but they just had Groves and DeGale in the studio together to talk about their fight in May and they freakin hate eachother by the looks of it. Tasty chat just. They just pulled the balls out of the bag for the Prize Fighter draw after their chat and the presenter said, "I've got Super Middleweight James DeGale here. And we're joined by his good mate George Groves." This could well be another Super Middleweight classic!
