Steven Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Nice night of Boxing tonight! Got the International Heavyweight Prizefighters (Took me a while to get into the prizefighter competitions and people slag them off but I quite enjoy them now) then from 2am (If I can stay awake) Manny Paquiao v Shane Mosley, then Paquiao might be looking to a November fight with Floyd Mayweather hopefully if Mayweather can stay out of jail.
BoneDog Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 Nice night of Boxing tonight! Mannnn it was a big disappointment, seemed like they were just pissing around for alot of the fight! Don't think I've ever seen Mosley or Pacquiao fight like that before. Seemed a bit half-hearted to me Thank fook for the Vasquez v Arce fight just before the main event, that was excellent.
Matt Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Hopefully George groves beats DeGale on Saturday. Yeah looking forward to that fight, not sure it's worth of PPV, busy saturday night anyway but will certainly be interested in seeing the highlights and if I see it fine but will be hoping to avoid the result. Hoping for a Groves win too.
StanSP Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 This is quite amusing http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/13458225.stm

Simmo86 Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Degale will tear Groves a new one. On totally different levels as Boxers, Degale one day will be a very very good boxer! Cleverly v Belleu looks tasty now after the dust up at the press conference!
StanSP Posted 19 May 2011 Posted 19 May 2011 Haha Cleverly is now fighting someone else cos Bellew didn't make the weight! He gives it all that crap and then can't fight
BoneDog Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Just booked tonights boxing, cannae wait. Hoping for a Groves win against DeGale. I thought it was worth paying for just to see the build up, ringwalks and pre-fight stares to that one! Bit gutted that Bellew didn't make the weight, was looking forward to that after seeing the press conference! Is DeGale v Groves now top of the bill, pretty sure it is? I also thought that John Murray was fighting Kevin Mitchell tonight but just found it it was called off about a month ago and they now fight in July! I'd been excited about that all day Think this is the order of fights (not for sure though) : 1st BILLY JOE SAUNDERS v KEVIN HAMMOND 2nd FRANKIE GAVIN v YOUNG MUTLEY 3rd SAM SEXTON v HASINGS RASANI 4th NATHAN CLEVERLY v ALEKSY KUZLEMSKI 5th BRADLEY SKEETE v DUNCAN COTTIER 6th JAMES DeGALE v GEORGE GROVES Just read this quote on the Mirror website, "Nathan Cleverly has had such a hard time getting someone to fight him this weekend he's urged promoter Frank Warren to get in touch with Joey Barton."
BoneDog Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Spoiler for Billy Joe Saunders v Kevin Hammond Ref stops fight at end of round 2. Saunders wins. Very classy stuff. Hammond was dropped to his knees twice, once with a great bodyshot and an uppercut, then again with another great bodyshot. Seen Billy Joe about five times now and he looks very good. High five
BoneDog Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Ringside a few minutes ago during the Gavin Mutley fight Chisora and Fury had a bit of a pop at eachother the commentators said. Hope there's a video of that soon!
Matt Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 What time does groves v degale kick off/has anyone got a stream? Cheers.
marko Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 What time does groves v degale kick off/has anyone got a stream? Cheers. DeGale v Groves
Father Ted Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Gutted that Bellew didnt make the weight. Would have made for a top fight!
Bert Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Tough fight, could've gone either way. Fair play to Gtroves, very gracious in victory, something DeGale perhaps wouldn't have been.
Tom17LCFC Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 take it groves won it on points? made me laugh at the press conference. degale taking the piss throwing a couple of imaginary punches, and groves comes out with "is that it? is that your preparation?" haha
Simmo86 Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Think it being called a draw would of been the fair result. Groves never hurt Degale and Degale was the only one to put any decent combos together, just not enough of them I suppose. Hopefully Degale will win the rematch
