  1. 1. What do you prefer to wear at football?

    • The latest replica shirt, even if I have to put it over a hoodie in the winter to show my colours

I don't wear a club shirt as

a) I don't like the look of it

b) I own better clothes

c) I want to be able to get into pubs without any problems

But I don't have any problem against people who do choose to wear it :dunno:

Apart from maybe this one guy who I occasionally see who wears: The shirt, the shorts, the socks, and astroturf football boots. It's a bit much mate.

I always wear my Leicester shirt but usually have a jumper and my coat over the top - this is when it's not warm, proper warm.

Usually;

Any t-shirt I can grab out of my draw

Leicester shirt

Jumper

Jacket

Coat - Its only the black windsheet

Jeans

Hat

Can't wear gloves as I can't clap.

Collect pin badges but don't wear them, they are on my scarf at home.

I've never worn a shirt to a game for the reasons Sparky stated, I like to have a drink or ten, just wear casual stuff.

I do own the away kit but it's just for dossin about in.

Where do i get replica jeans?? ;)

Seriously, i had no idea of the increase in rules for attending the football...

sit/stand

shirt/no shirt

paint/no paint

sing/dont sing

L1/cop/stands

flares/no flares

pissed/ not pisssed

curry/meat pie

Just who is in charge of all these rules?...

you don't. They're mine. although now its getting sunny again they might be wardrobed and replaced by cutt-offs.

I like to give the old school replica shirts an airing at the occasional home game, but often the only colours I wear are my scarf, which is an old school blue and white striped affair. The reason isn't because I feel that colours are inferior etc, but purely and simply that by identifying myself as a football fan, it seems to give the non-footballing world licence to treat me like scum. I like the freedom of being able to go to whichever pub I choose. I find it sad that society feels that football fans from different teams can't drink together nicely.

Having said that, I thought that as a set of fans we had a lot more freedom to drink wherever in whatever colours we felt necessary (that's the Royal Blue we, not my friends and I we). I had some bloody good away days last season, visiting some towns and cities that welcomed the footy fan, not shun us as the scourge of society.
