fox123 Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Moved in to our new house last September, and the garden is a right bloody mess. I really am not green fingered, but since the nice weather over the last couple of days, I have actually found it quite therapeutic. Anyone else enjoy spending time doing their garden up, or just enjoy spending time chilling in the garden!?
Webbo Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 When we first bought our house I loved doing the garden. The novelty eventually wore off.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I like messing around in the garden and having it nice and tidy, but I'm not one of these people who plant rows of plants and change them for every season. I like the slightly wild look of lots of perrenials in and English Cottage Garden style. Much less maintenence and you're right, it's very therapeutic.
davieG Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Unless there's a big clearing job to do with an axe or a saw I find it all tedious so I just let mine do it's own thing. Mind you I do have a particularly difficult garden anyway.
Matt Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I had to saw a tree down this afternoon for my mum, that's about as much gardening as I do - Probably be different when I have my own place though.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I bought an electric saw yesterday, and today I've been enjoying chopping a tree into little pieces. I'm not sure that counts as gardening, but it was in the garden
Guest Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I'm allergic to gardens in the traditional sense, so prefer to keep mine slabbed/gravelled etc. It does mean that there is very little maintenance so it's win-win for me!
fox123 Posted 18 April 2010 Author Posted 18 April 2010 gardening's for gays and weirdos It's actually not too bad once you get started.
hairy Posted 19 April 2010 Posted 19 April 2010 Outdoor speaker + beer + sun + gardening = happy hairy
stez Posted 22 April 2010 Posted 22 April 2010 It's actually not too bad once you get started. it is very bad. unless you're getting paid for it
Tommy G Posted 28 April 2010 Posted 28 April 2010 i'm quite keen on a couple of hours at the weekend but it shouldn't really be an activity of someone at the age of 21 really.
