Has the potential to be a huge game this one.

3 points on Saturday and we can go into the game with Boro on May 2nd in a relaxed mood. The loan stars were awesome against Watford, with each of them notching a goal on the day. 10 goals in the last 3 games tells its own story and we may well have turned a corner from the horrible four game losing run before Easter. Preston have nothing to play for now and are unlikely to fancy doing Blackpool a favour. We may well be coming into form at exactly the right time this season and a win wouldn't be a huge shock.

Be wary before putting the champagne on ice though. Preston killed us at the Walkers earlier this season and Darren Ferguson has his sides playing attractive football most weeks. They do have some talent there and there can be little doubt they've underachieved this season. If they click and play well, they can do us real damage as Forest will testify after their first half mauling at Deepdale.

That said, teams who need points very often get them against teams who don't at this stage of the season. We're an improved outfit from the team that lost 2-1 at home and they've gone backwards.

My prediction is a hard-fought 1-0 win with Vaughan scoring the goal to send the fancy dressed chaps and chapesses into raptures.

Gone for a win here, and your absolutely right Bilo, this game could be huge!! A win would almost certainly put is in the best possible form going into the playoffs, and would be the first time we've won 4 in a row this season. Seeing as though im attending this with some Preston in-laws, it makes it the perfect time to seal that playoff spot and ease all the nerves! Otherwise it could be a long trip home! It'll be a tight game for sure, but im confident we can nick it late on with a Waggy stunner! :scarf:

I went for a draw, as it will be very close.

We could nick it though, as you say. An odd goal win isn't out of the question. That's what i'm hoping for anyway.

I think it will be a tight match and end up being a draw. Hope I'm wrong though and we beat them 8 nil :scarf::scarf:

It will give us something to sweat on for the last two games. We wouldn't want it easy would we?

2-0 win for us.

I'd rather we win and get the playoffs secured away from home personally

Draw.

I rekon Blackpool may win their last two so we would then need to win our last game to finish above them.

Hopefully Swansea will lose Saturday then we can still rest easy for M'Boro.

Be very nice to win this one, but don't want to lose it, unless Blackpool lose aswell :D

Hopefully win so we don't need anything for Middlesborough game. Hopefully Preston do us a favour by not helping their local rivals. However, we've lost twice against Preston 2-1, but they were early on in the season. Also, Preston have nothing to play for- they're safe and can't make the playoffs. We've been on great form of late. Hopefully Vaughan can fill in for Howard after his idiotic sending off.

I predict:: PNE 1-2 LCFC (Vaughan, Waggy)

(or a last minute own goal from there player) :D

Stick with same team, apart from Vaughan for Howard. Btw, does anyone have any news of Fryatt- wasn't he supposed to have his scan today, and hopefully given the all clear?

Comeon City!

I see us winning it by a goal.

2-1

I'd go with a cautious, yet optimistic 2-1 to us, as well.

Yes, Preston have nothing to play for anymore. Not threatened by relegation, not pushing for a playoff spot (unlike last season). Mediocre, all in all.

Yes, Preston will be their utmost not aiding their closest rivals, Blackpool, by punching us out of the promotion picture. In addition, I can't recall them having any hard feelings towards us.

Yes, we usually fare badly @ Deepdale (with the odd exception).

Yes, we're on a high once more and the form's picked up nicely again after a four-game slump before that. Just in time for the closing stages.

We shall still dream on. In a Nazareth kind of way. Or don't stop believing, Journey-like.

And with that, I wish you all a good night.

Sleep well about some five times before Saturday, get behind the lads and hopefully, we will prevail, and cement our top six spot one week before the Middlesbrough home game (which should give some recent fringe players the opportunity to shine and allow the others to rest).

I've gone for a win. Taking in the importance of this result to cement a position in the pay offs as a cert i can't see anythig more than the players coming out all guns blazing and really going for it. 2-0 win for City. Waggy and Gallagher with the goals.

I want to win promotion away from home and I do not fancy us on the last day

If we do win promotion it will be at Wembley which wasn't our home ground last time I checked

2-0 Leicester win.

Goals from Vaughan and Gallagher

I really fancy a clean sheet in this one, so i am going to go for 2-0.

Kermits gonna get a goal in this game. And then go on a 5 match goal scoring run to Va Va Voom us into the Premiership.

He's gonna become a play off legend and we'll call him Kermit le Coq in honor of the great supersub himself from 20 years ago.

1 -0 Leicester

Waghorn with a late winner

Hopefully peterborough will do us a favour anyway, theirs probably a fair few players in their squad who's jobs are going to be on the line, so i can at least see them putting up a fight against blackpool
