acooling08 Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Thread inspired by a Tory MP saying homosexuality wasn't normal and there was much division on the issue. He made it known that he had nothing against homosexuality and favoured equal rights for them but repeated that it isn't normal and that it should not be encouraged. I'm not really sure, I don't think it is wrong, but I think it is abnormal... difficult to decide.. Thoughts?

Not going to rant but purely ask why/ how is it abnormal?
Libertine Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Well, yes. Obviously. Nothing wrong with it at all, but it's not how humans were 'designed'. Innit.
Fosse Boy Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 LikeLib says, only on a purely biological level. But there's so much more to the human makeup. Nowt abnormal about it.
Daggers Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 it should not be encouraged. ...because that's why people become gay, because of all the encouragement.
stez Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 if 'normal' means the continuation of the human race as an animal species, nothing more nothing less then no it wouldn't be normal, but i see being a human as much more than that. each person, as i see it, is somewhere along a spectrum of 'normality' and different people fit on that spectrum at different places. that goes for sexuality, aggression, thriftiness, academia, practicalness, artisticness, whatever. i accept this does leave room for some anomalies.
AyewJoking Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 I'm old school and believe we have sex essentially to reproduce so yes I do think homosexuality is abnormal. Which brings me to my question, if you are gay are you naturally attracted to the idea of penetrating another mans ass or only because its the only way you can have intercourse with another male?

So every time you ever had sex you've done it purely to create a baby?

Which brings me to my question, if you are gay are you naturally attracted to the idea of penetrating another mans ass or only because its the only way you can have intercourse with another male? then why make it so, damn, nice to do (from what i remember)? the urge to have kids is quite a strong instinct anyway (in those that have it, i accept some don't)) you don't need all the enjoyment to encourage you to have kids.
Shrenchel Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Which brings me to my question, if you are gay are you naturally attracted to the idea of penetrating another mans ass or only because its the only way you can have intercourse with another male? What the fook kind of question is that?! Surely it's the same for straight people. Are you naturally attracted to the idea of sticking your cock in a sloshy pink hole which let's be honest aint that aesthetically pleasing or is it just because you want to have intercourse with a woman? If there were just vaginas lying around on the road, would you fvck them?? Anyway, yeah it's normal. Almost every single mammal on the planet has been shown to be partial to a bit of man on man and their existence is far more about reproduction than ours. Aint much more natural than that.
AoWW Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Surely it's 'unnatural' (in the sense it's not as nature intended), rather than 'abnormal' which is far more emotive in its interpretation?
stez Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 ...because that's why people become gay, because of all the encouragement. well no one encourage me, and look how i turned out. i could've been a gay chef, but i was never encouraged to be either.
AyewJoking Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 yeah obviously reproduction isnt the only reason we have sex but whether you believe in God or not thats how humans reproduce and think back to when man was first created this is what our "reproductive" organs were there for.
FoxyPV Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 I'm old school and believe we have sex essentially to reproduce so yes I do think homosexuality is abnormal. Which brings me to my question, if you are gay are you naturally attracted to the idea of penetrating another mans ass or only because its the only way you can have intercourse with another male? :: :: the ignorance of it all. It is based on the assumption that penetration is the only form of sex, which couldn't be further from the truth Same question would go for female anal pentration. You can choose who you have sex with but not who you fall in love with. If sex is a natural expression of love ...
Shrenchel Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Surely it's 'unnatural' (in the sense it's not as nature intended), rather than 'abnormal' which is far more emotive in its interpretation? If it's not what nature intended then nature really fvcked up. 10% of humans and all these cvnts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mammals_displaying_homosexual_behavior
stez Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 yeah obviously reproduction isnt the only reason we have sex but whether you believe in God or not thats how humans reproduce and think back to when man was first created this is what our "reproductive" organs were there for. or evolved? anyway, my reproductive organ, actually has more than one use, you know pissing for one. so maybe 3? 1. reproduction....(although my input was minimal(in more than one way)) 2. sexual enjoyment 3. taking a tinkle (which is, far and away, what it's used for most)
Head Honcho Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 So every time you ever had sex you've done it purely to create a baby? There aren't many (if any) mammals that don't have sex for this reason! Am I to believe that all you guys saying it's normal would be up for a spot of pillow munching then! Or is that being to simplistic?

BoneDog Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Love this thread, it's a great reason to post some gay pics
