C-man Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Practically what Lids did for their game at Charlton. Ridiculous.
lcfcadam Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 VIP coach seats sound good though - just the thought of spending over 3 hours on that FT bus (ON MY OWN!!!, owing to lack of P2 friends) sends shivers down my spine... 3 course french meal, decent cold beer throughout the game. Blimey, for just over 5 times what I spent on tickets and travel it actually sounds quite tempting! All negated of course by having to sit with the ****** in the corporate seats instead of (hopefully) standing with the real people.

The point is that these tickets arent for the corporate seats, they're for the away end. They've nicked 30 tickets that should have gone to P3s and are shifting them off to ponces to make themselves a tidy profit.
lcfcadam Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 It says they are in the Leicester away end........ Fair enough but one would assume 30 'VIPs' are unlikely to stand up for 90 minutes giving it some to the Cardiff fans!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Fair enough but one would assume 30 'VIPs' are unlikely to stand up for 90 minutes giving it some to the Cardiff fans! Yeah exactly.... so thats 30 extra people who are preparing their back poking fingers for wednesday night I would love to have seen them try this if the game was at Ninian Park Ninian Park
Daggers Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Unless Lisa is prepared to toss me off at half-time with a silk glove then my money remains in my pocket. Err...the Lisa organising the promotion - not a certain Admin on the forum...
Guest Mee-9 Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Bit of a piss take. The club would be better off just selling the tickets to P3's. Instead they want to make abit more money on the fans like usual.
Aeropars Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 Cardifs best loved restaurant?? Given the standard of food served at the walkers I'm expecting a stop off at the motorway KFC. fooking retards dont know good food if it hit them on the pallate!
FoxyPV Posted 7 May 2010 Posted 7 May 2010 I've got my ticket - got some flares and fireworks to liven things up. (and of course a big bag of crack for the bus trip)

You can't spend three hours on your own in a coach full of Leicester fans who you could talk to? Or listen to your mp3 player or read a paper/book? This VIP package is a kick in the teeth for P3s and non-ST holders, clearly the club is doing it to line their coffers at the expense of the ordinary fans who can't afford £150. This sort of thing really pi$$es me off.
maddog Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 £150 so your basically paying almost £90+ just for the meal!
Babylon Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 £150 so your basically paying almost £90+ just for the meal! For a meal and actually securing a ticket. I get free tickets thanks to "corporate" people so I won't be slagging them off. Some of them support Leicester as much as anyone on here, they are just in the fortunate position of earning very good money. They have probably pumped more into the clubs coffers in the last two years than I will in my lifetime, hardly surprising they get the odd bit of preferential treatment.

It's still fundamentally unfair though that in such an important game a select few are afforded the right to buy tickets based solely on their ability to pay more for them than the average P3 punter can.

It is, but as the club needs as much money as it can get so that we can compete in this league and possibly higher, it is not going to change.
Shrenchel Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 It is, but as the club needs as much money as it can get so that we can compete in this league and possibly higher, it is not going to change. Thing is though, if they were going to make tens of thousands of pounds I could almost see the point. They're going to make what, £70 on each one? That's £2100 if the 30 sell out, which if pretty much fvck all in footballing terms. Is it really worth dickiing on the average fan for?

Granted it doesn't seem huge amounts, but £2,000 can still buy new equipment and contribute towards the club. At the same time, I imagine that this package deal is about keeping corporate sponsors happy so that they continue to contribute and pump money into the club, so this package deal should not be seen in isolation.
Anish Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 It is, but as the club needs as much money as it can get so that we can compete in this league and possibly higher, it is not going to change. I don't buy that at all. The club will make £4,500 if it sells all 30 VIP tickets. When you take away the match tickets themselves (which goes to Cardiff - £780), the extra cost of staff, coach and meal, the club will probably make around £3,000 extra. Is that really going to make any difference to the club's finances?
