dogadug Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Pakistan need 16 with 4 wickets left The crowd is in great voice
C-man Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Call me unpatriotic but I hope we lose this test, we certainly deserve to. There seems to be a slight arrogance about this England team that I've picked up upon. Justified arrogance? To an extent, but they need to go and win the ashes in Australia before I'll be convinced. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind arrogant/confident sportsmen/women, but it needs to be backed up with consistent high-level performance. Agree with the arrogance part. It seems they've begun to believe the hype surrounding this winning run when in reality they've beaten an average Bangladesh and an awful Pakistan. In the most part this has been an embarrassing performance and the only reason were still in with a chance is because Pakistan evidently have no idea how to win a test match. I seem to remember them struggling to finish off the Aussies earlier this summer... Could do with a couple of changes for the 4th test. It's the right time to prove that the side isn't a closed shop. I get the impression some players feel like they're untouchable.
Magictv Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Bloody hell, amir with 4 for 0 in 8 balls! Gonna be all out for 60 at this rate!!
FoxyPV Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 KP's England's batting nightmare continues... Amir - 6- 29
Fox You Forest Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Trott's been excellent, good support from Broad too, 50.
Brainy Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Be glad when this summer is over, batting has been very difficult.
Smudge Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 What the .......Aemer 58 for 6 including bowling 4 out for 0........ incredible!.
Fosse Boy Posted 27 August 2010 Author Posted 27 August 2010 Broady is so handsome. Brings up a lot of confusing feelings.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I was thinking to myself yesterday, if we can just get past 200 we'll be semi competitive. Broad 150.
FoxyPV Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Great knock from Broad - he's still a twat though. I've got it in my head that Trott will hit 200 and then england will declare once he's out.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 What a turn around, wish I'd have stayed home and watched this now.
Edmund Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 What a turn around, wish I'd have stayed home and watched this now. Not been following this series but watched a bit this morning. Couldn't believe Broad raked up a massive partnership. Pakistan absolutely crumbled looking at the scores.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Not been following this series but watched a bit this morning. Couldn't believe Broad raked up a massive partnership. Pakistan absolutely crumbled looking at the scores. I thought they'd struggle because their heads dropped as soon as England passed 300 yesterday, no way did I think they'd be this bad though 110 odd runs for 14 wickets. Amir is going to be wasted playing for Pakistan.
Corky Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Brilliant efforts from Broad and Trott, incredible turnaround in this game. Wonderful recovery.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 betting scandal Wow, they could be in all sorts of shit, It's that interesting I'll be buying a NOTW tomorrow. Even has football ties too, at a low level though. I remember laughing yesterday at how far over he was.
Brainy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 That needed a circle? In a video secretly recorded during the NOTW investigation, a man alleged to be Mazher is clearly heard predicting that Amir would bowl the first over of the England innings, and that he would deliver a no-ball from the first ball of the third over - which as Cricinfo's ball-by-ball commentary noted: "was an enormous no-ball, good half a metre over the line." The man also appeared to correctly predict a no-ball from the sixth ball of the tenth over, bowled this time by Asif. Anything else remember some iffy moments for Pakistan this summer? Akmal's dropped catches maybe?
Fox You Forest Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 That needed a circle? Anything else remember some iffy moments for Pakistan this summer? Akmal's dropped catches maybe? Yeah does make you wonder, plenty of fielding blunders to pick from too.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 August 2010 Author Posted 28 August 2010 Question - if I go to bed tonight thinking about Stuart Broad's innings will it make me gay? Because it's his batting that I really love, not his dreamy eyes, fair hair and pale skin. Erm, yeah...
