mickydeeeuk Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 Was this your first visit to the Walkers? Thats usual mate. ...err I've been a season ticket holder for ten years actualy, the point was to do with the fact that the caterers are cutting corners & the price does not reflect that, to be honest if the scrote that served me had handed my daughter a pie like he did me & burnt her hand I would have shoved it in his face!
NorthernFox Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 Have to say was violently ill 25 mins in to the first half after consuming chicken & mushroom pie (+ burnt fingers) and 1 pint of vague bitter. First time since 1986 actually missed any live action. Expected the cost but not food poisoning!
ithuriel Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 The catering is a bit bad i must admit, at the previous weeks friendly the burger i was given was cold in the middle, this weekend against Middlesbro the burger was so hot i felt it through the white cover paper and the coffee was molten.
Pst Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 The beer is horribly watered down, it's like dish water. The thing is they will keep selling rubbish like this because no matter what, people still buy the stuff. Also, is it just me or did the program seem really poor compared to the last few seasons?

I think someone said it was back inhouse and produce by a team of trainees No longer buy it so don't know.
nothin2seehere Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 All you need to do is leave your seat when the whistle blows for HT. I can guarantee that by the time you've queued for a piss, you will not have time to queue for your chosen beverage and/or pie, thereby avoiding the poor quality and high price, and ensuring you are back in your seat before the second half.

Greene King IPA is piss whether its sold in the Walkers or not. Bought my Nephew a Yorkie Bar on Saturday that cost a £1, first time and last time I buy anything again. Maximum mark-up on just about everything. Slightly off topic but another "kiosk" thats new was FC Betz - heard them getting a grilling from one guy....basically asking who the fook are you and will you be hear next time if I win??!
Jay Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Please tell me they still do cheese and onion pasties. they do but don't think you are getting a tray with it, you will be given a pastie hotter than the sun in a napkin! I ain't bothered about the prices you are not forced to buy them but the least you should expect when buying a pie clocking in at 300% is a tray, brilliant cost cutting measure from Lee Hoos, you can see his reasoning now.." why do we need to give the people a tray to hold a pie in when it comes in it's own container" someone will get burnt with this brilliant new cost cutting strategy

I agree, but I never remembered it to be as vile. Any way to make money I suppose...

Not sure about this season; I was under the impression it was new contractors, but some seem to think it's in-house.
Braunyfox Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 I think Salad and Pasta should be available for vegatarians and people like myself on a diet

The in-house thing is what I was basing it on!! either way I demand the return of the Tray, whoever is responsible for this outrage!!
cambridgefox Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Being in the packaging trade,i rep a few people in the food industry.Small tray about £15/1000 and this is for minimum orders. The more you get the cheaper it is.what im saying is they most likely cost 1p each BRING BACK THE TRAY.

Now, where's Leese when I need her.......?
