Flynny Posted 14 August 2010 Posted 14 August 2010 Isn't the real question where the fuck all these closet Bovril drinkers came from? I'd rather gargle Bisto.
ramboacdc Posted 14 August 2010 Posted 14 August 2010 bovril lovers are like marmite lovers. we dont admit it until we have to!
ian_marshall Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I've had Issues with the catering service for some time now. Can't believe that the club can get this so wrong. Several times last season I left my seat to grab some food as soon as the half time whistle blew, queued for 10 minutes only to be told they'd sold out of hot food when I got to the front of the queue. How hard can it be to cater for supporters at half time? They desperately need to implement an EPOS system so they can process transactions faster and keep track of sales to ensure they prepare enough food to cater for everyone and offer greater service. I visited the Emirates a few years back and they had a great selection of good quality hot food with absolutely no supply issues whatsoever, and were able to take multiple forms of payment. I appreciate that people may argue that the Emirates has better facilities, Arsenal have more money, etc, etc, but in some ways they face challenges that our catering team don't due to having to cater for more people. In fact I'd argue that our catering service is on par with the trailers located in the outdoor concourse of the away end at Boundary Park. I wish the club would sort this out as it's embarassing given the fact that the ground is still relatively new.

davieG Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 The foods been shit and over priced for years, people moan about it. but still continue to buy it, why? Especially on a Saturday afternoon game. You buy their shit they'll continue to sell it.

FrankieADZ Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I know what u mean about the prices, only thing I tend to buy is a pie and a hot drink(when its sodding bass monkeys) also tend to try and get some hot food from the SPAR down the road, cheaper than some of the food stand.
acooling08 Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 The wankers have got rid of Cornish Pasties FFS. Me and my dad buy 1 each at every home game in the season, so how much money are they losing out on??
1964FOX Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I am considering taking my own fork to games from now on but I am worried it will be banned as they might think it's a Fosse Boy trying to get a flag pole in.

It'd help if they got Some English in who dont just grunt at you when you tell them what you want, somebody who knows how to work a till and doesn't look confused when you pay with a note. There used to be an old women on our concourse the season before last, she made it look easy. It's all about Greggs Sausage rolls. NO, having tried one, I can't see what all the fuss is about. I am considering taking my own fork to games from now on but I am worried it will be banned as they might think it's a Fosse Boy trying to get a flag pole in. I too was considering bringing my own fork in, but it'd probably get took off me.
Mee Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Granby Halls Chippy is where it's all at. Can't be doing with the overpriced burger crap.
MC Prussian Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Am I the only one to notice that the prices in the concourse have gone up? £3.10 for a beer now (it was a straight £3 only a few months ago) and the KitKat now comes in the small size - for the same price as before. Not that it hadn't been a rip-off before, but it's going in a very wrong direction. Signs of things to come should we ever get promoted?

They'll then get the message that small profit coupled with providing a service is better than no profit.
FrankieADZ Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 u never know they might start to bring in Salads better not tho <_<
AoWW Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Please tell me they still do cheese and onion pasties.
davieG Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Please tell me they still do cheese and onion pasties. Probably but mortgages are hard to get so I've heard.
Simmo86 Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 So there's no more bovril and no batli pies?? Midweek games in November are going to be alot harder now!
DB11 Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 When they changed to those cheap wooden forks I stopped having pies... 'chewing' (it touching your teeth) was just horrible!
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 I was very lucky to get a ticket in the directors box yesterday, row w seat 173, taken up by Milan, the new owner and his relatives. I had to pick another row I was fuming. I swear there is even less leg space in the directors box seating than in the main stand, made worse by the fixed arm rests which you can't move. Pathetic. Anyone want to swap seats for the next match?

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Atmos was poor and I couldn't swear at the players or shout FFS when a pass went astray from a blue shirt. Give me the old kop and a cold cheeseburger in a dry white roll any day. Does anyone know if wing wah chippy is still round the corner up by filbo?
