artursteppe Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Why are there so many whining, whinging, no hope pessimists on this site compared to the few of us who have a little optimism and hope, with a touch of excitement for what the future might hold. Look at the names of players people want to come to the club - a whole bunch of no hope, go nowhere average nonentities with limited prospects to do anything of note. Has no-one got any imagination of what sort of players we could see at our great club with £10m or even £5m to spend on transfers and wages?
davieG Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Maybe because we've seen it all before and there's no guarantee there is that much money to spend or how much will actually be for transfer fees - strikes me as a pointless task akin to dreaming of winning the lottery, it'll all end in disappointment. Yours A staunch, longstanding, renowned whining, whinging, no hope pessimist.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Has no-one got any imagination of what sort of players we could see at our great club with £10m or even £5m to spend on transfers and wages? Quite frankly the answer to that is no....most people on here would be quite happy to see most of that budget swallowed up by getting Emile sodding Heskey back here.
bettso Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Kieron Gibbs - £4m Danny Murphy - £2m Kiko Macheda - £4m We'll never sign any of them but you're right. There is nothing wrong with dreaming!!!
FrankieADZ Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 as DavieG said, money isnt gonna buy us success. So cant imagine what a £5mil player can do at Leicester, Remember Ade? poor chap, feel sorry for him.

Yours A staunch, longstanding, renowned whining, whinging, no hope pessimist. Tell me where there are any guarentees in life. I can tell you one, there are more pessimists among Leicester supporters than optimists. My glass is always half full compared with half empty, like yours. Get out more, live a little! Why have a site that is boring, droll and grey. We need colour. We need vibrancy, energy and intoxication ( metaphorically speaking, of course ). I get out enough and get my intoxication from the many realities of life and if I'm going to spend my time dreaming of better times I'll not waste it on football dreams there's plenty of family and friends I prefer my dreams to be on. Besides these topics are full of impossible dreams I really can't see the point I'd rather wait and see and hopefully be pleasantly surprised by what actually happens. I'm enjoying the football served up at present so that'll do me.
bettso Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 So we spend a little wild have a good few years then end up like Pompeys? that the plan? So we win the FA Cup, play in Europe and stay in the Premier league for a few years signing top talent from the UK and abroad?? I can handle that!!!!!

wurmer Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 So we win the FA Cup, play in Europe and stay in the Premier league for a few years signing top talent from the UK and abroad?? I can handle that!!!!! ...and then become 'the' joke club of the football world (although Cardiff are a close 2nd). No thanks.
davieG Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Maybe you should not post in the thread titled, 'Let's dream a little' Maybe I'll post where I want to as for this topic it was so nearly deleted as we already have a wish list topic but I was feeling generous.

sdb Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 well my very simplistic approach to this pretty simplistic scenario would be: Whittingham (2.5ish) Waghorn (2ish) A good, proven CB (St.Ledger someone like that) - 1mill ish that's 2 mins of my life wasted!
Fox You Forest Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 What was that documentary a while back where Big Ron went to Posh to help out? never really been a fan of St Ledger since that, decent defender but came across as a right cvnt.
sdb Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 yeah he did actually i remember. was told he was gonna play right back and stormed out of training. nob. assume he's grown up a smidge since then
MC Prussian Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 I'm already dreaming enough at night, so - no, thanks.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 August 2010 Posted 19 August 2010 Roque Santa Cruz on loan as Man City attempt to redress the balance.
